Sweet n' Warm

Chapter 5

Lance turned hurriedly to John a few seconds after Keith had left he sucked a breath in. "Explain" John looked up lazily from his phone to a now fully uniformed Lance. "Our new co-worker, you've met him I see" John smiles then looks back down at his screen. "I'm going to be leaving now so, take good care of the shop," Lance took a few breaths in calming his beating heart he dragged a hand through his hair and placed the other hand on his hip, Lance's mind came to the conclusion; 'He was just surprised by a sudden appearance of Keith, is all. 

"Sure thing" Lance having returned to his usual composure he simply put away all his stuff then strode to the counter and kept busy there while a client decided to show up.

 His thoughts trailed off to how Keith turned away when he saw Lance shirtless, 'he was definitely blushing' Lance smirked. At that same moment, a pair of stern looking salesmen came in they asked their individual customized coffee and left silently. Afterward, Lance began organizing some of the supplies that were recently brought.  He sighed softly as he worked his way through the boxes; feeling a slight vibration coming from his pocket he stopped momentarily to check what his phone wanted from him. It was a text from Hunk,

 "Pidge, when you get home remember to have the candles and matches ready I'll bring the food"

Lance stared at the text for a moment analyzing what is said. 'What?' Woah, candles? food? is it a date?'  Lance smirked with his information but then slightly frowned remembering he is currently at work the entrance bell reminding him of said fact. He returned to his spot right in front of the cash register to take the clients' order.

 They were two young ladies holding hands giggling as they entered one of them was a brunette with short hair and chocolate brown eyes,  she had a light pink sun dress on matching with her rosy cheeks; the other had long braided black hair that reached her elbows her sky blue eyes shone brightly when she looked over at her partner, she wore a bright yellow crop top that flowed along with the breeze that came with them. Both came up to him a bit indecisive with what they wanted but managed to get twinning orders. Lance smiled kindly at them, he noticed one of the girls had a 'Love is Love' wrist band on her which she proudly wore and this made him smile at himself when he began working on their orders. 

When he finished with the two coffees he turned to give each their own he saw them, he saw how fondly both girls looked at each other, he called out "Jen? Kat?" both of the girls walked over to Lance and sat back down with their coffees now in hand. 

Lance's attention went back to Hunk's text. He wasn't sure on what to answer hunk, 

"Dude, wtf??? I'm @ work btw"

Lance shrugged slightly and went back to his work, he hadn't noticed when the lovely couple had left but they left a tip on the counter with a napkin that had a doodled smiley face on it. Lance smiled at the napkin and folded it neatly putting it into his pocket.

When Lance's shift ended he gathered his stuff, taking his time to do so he heard a soft knock on the door but then heard a second knock a bit louder. The tall tan boy raised a brow in question when he reached to open the door leaving his things put, he saw it was a fidgeting Hunk. 

"H-Hey, bud" Hunk seemed rather nervous a little drop of sweat trickled down his temple to his jaw, he wiped it off quickly once he himself noticed. Lance chuckled a bit placing his hand on his hip raising his brow, "Hey, what's this about?" Hunk straightened his back looking determined suddenly only a faint trace of his nervousness left.  "I'm taking you somewhere! but it's a secret so don't ask!" Lance was confused just then remembering what he had sent Pidge earlier, now he wants to take Lance out? the taller tan boy shrugged, picked up his stuff from where he left them and went along with Hunk.
