5-year time skip
Dark and I were now 25 years old! It's now August way past any of our birthdays. The thing is Dark and I are planning on getting a kid. We're afraid though. There are no demon adoption centers. Only human adoption centers. How do we explain to a four-year old that we are demons? I could have Light tell them... No Dark and I have to do this ourselves.
We are both sitting in the living room. Like normal couples we just finished doing the 'thing'. Now we are silently sitting near each other naked. Yeah totally normal. Dark grumbled something under his breath with a mixed expression on his face.
"What's bugging you, babe?" I asked breaking the silence.
"Let's just get a kid. Even if they are human it shouldn't matter. When they are older we can explain to them what we are. I want to start a family no matter who they are," Dark blurted. I nodded.
"I agree, first let's go to an adoption center. If we find anyone that we like then we can take them home with us. If not we can try again soon," I suggested. Dark agreed standing up to walk to the bedroom.
We both got dressed making our way to the front door. I stopped with Dark close behind me. "What?" He asked confused.
"Shouldn't we get a room for them?" I pondered.
"We still don't know if we are getting a child. Also, I can manifest anything in the world. I think we're covered."
Dark drove us to the nearest adoption center. My nerves started to work up. Panic filled me as I looked at the center. Someone grabbed my hand squeezing it reassuringly. He kissed my temple making me feel better. Dark pulled me inside the building. We were immedietly noticed by a woman. Her heels clicked as she walked up to us.
"Hello there! My names Claire, welcome to the L.A orphanage. Are you here to look or adopt?" She asked us.
"Adopt," I answered. She nodded.
"Follow me so you can meet the children," She instructed. Dark and I followed Claire through the building to the back. We passed rooms that were creaked open slightly. Giggles came from the rooms following us down the hall. Claire had us sit down on a group of chairs while she got the children. "What age group would you like?" Claire asked right before she walked away.
"2 through 4-year-olds," Dark responded quickly. Claire nodded walking down the hallways knocking on doors. Minutes later a bunch of girls ran down the hallways giggling. About 5 little girls ran over to us. No boys at all. Hm. Claire walked back over to us with a bright smile.
"These are our 2-4-year-olds. One at a time I will have them talk with you. There is a spare room over there that you two will be in for now," She told us. We nodded standing up to walk over to the room.
We spent at least 10 minutes getting to know every girl.
The first one was Grace she was 3. She had dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes. This girl giggles at everything! She's so happy!
Aurora was next. She had curly black hair and chocolatey eyes. This kid looks adorable but is a freaking monster. We found out that she's 4 then she immediately started insulting me on my looks.
Phoebe was an adorable 2-year-old. She came in with a bright smile. Phoebe had straight blonde hair with bluish grey eyes. Let's just say Dark and I fell in love with her.
Hevan was next. Her straight blonde hair and hazel eyes made her look perfect. In fact, she even acted perfectly. So perfect that it hurt. Freakin 2 years old.
A young girl walked in next. She told us her name was Hazel. That's all I know. Her hair is brown and she has black eyes. She also didn't talk.
We talked with all the girls until we finally made a decision. Claire walked into the room after the last girl left. "How'd it go?" She asked.
"It went well," I replied.
"Have you chosen a child to take home yet?" Claire spoke while smiling.
"Actually yeah we did," Dark spoke. Claire smiled.
"Okay then what's her name?"
"Phoebe."
