Chapter 42

Dark lead me down the hallway to a massive room. Lines of chairs sat in the room. In front of the chairs black stands that look brand new. In the back of the music room 2 drum sets. I beamed walking over to the red one. Dark sat little ways away from me while I picked up the drum sticks. He listened as I started to play a simple tune. Nothing too difficult.

Clapping came from behind us. The students that we are teaching were clapping loudly. Phoebe stood in front of the group with Jaden standing close next to her. She grinned at me while she clapped her hands together. I blushed a deep red smiling happily.

Dark stood up, "Alright, go get your instruments. Sit in the spot that has your name."

I stood up to walk to the front of the room. Kids ran around getting out whatever instrument they played. We specifically asked for kids that knew how to play some type of instrument. Anyone else was stuck in choir. Phoebe proudly sat behind the drums but had a trumpet sitting next to her. The perks of having parents that know how to play stuff.

The other kids went and found their seats. Jaden sat down in the clarinet section. Oh Light, why must you torture your kid with chapped lips? Dark helped a couple trumpet players fix their instruments. While I just watched everyone work.

Once everyone was situated and ready for class to start Dark joined me up at the front.

"Today we are going to teach you a Green Day song. On your stand is the sheet music for 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day. You have the next 20 minutes to look over the song and try to learn it as best as you can. After those 20 minutes, we are going to try and play the song together," I instructed. Kids nodded looking at the stands in front of them.

Dark and I walked around for the next 20 minutes explaining things to students. Phoebe raised her hand as she stared confused at the music sheet in front of her. Dark looked at me but continued to work with the student he was already working with. The kid I was helping understood what they needed to do. I walked over to Phoebe looking down at the sheet music.

"What's up sweetheart?"

"I don't understand measure 6-11."

I looked over the sheet music. Taking my own drumsticks I started to play the beat on the drums. Phoebe watched what I did carefully. "Now you try," She did and got decently close. I explained to her the half beats and such. Phoebe nodded along as I talked. She would sometimes point at the note repeating it just to make sure it is correct.

Phoebe grabbed her drum sticks playing the beat on the drums. I smiled proudly as she nailed it. "Good job pumpkin," I praised.

"Thanks, Daddy," She kissed my cheek.

"Your welcome."

After school Dark and I took Phoebe out for ice cream.

We still were wearing the stuff from school not bothering to change. Phoebe sat next to me while Dark sat in front of us. Suddenly my vanilla cone was pushed into my face. Dark snickered but didn't say anything. I licked my lips and as much of the other ice cream from my face. He grinned at me while Phoebe giggled. I pushed his cone into his face.

Dark gasped, "How dare you!" He giggled.

"Eh, it's just ice cream."

"Papa! Your lips are full of chocolate!" Phoebe chirped.

We all laughed pushing her ice cream into her face. She frowned at first but laughed along with Dark and me.
