two;

we finally arrived in sydney several hours later. i had finally asleep - i was told that was an after effect of the overdose; who knows?

peter turns down a long, gravel road. piper curses, upset that her hair will be messed up. the road stretches on for awhile; we drive down it for several minutes. finally we arrive in front of several buildings, surrounded by a gate. peter stops in front of the gate and a security guard comes over, then peter rolls down the window.

"name, sir?" the guard asks peter, as he folds his arms over his chest.

"peter s. caylen." he says, his voice tired, bags under his eyes. the guard nods and yells the name to someone with a computer. the person nods and the gate opens, allowing us to drive though. peter parks the car allowing us all to step out.

look how annoyed and tired they look; all your fault.

i clench my teeth and my fist clench at my sides. piper decides to stay in the car, not bothering to tell me goodbye. peter rests his hand on the bottom of my back, leading me inside.

"where's the check-in, miss?" peter asks once we enter the building. i can feel his hand shake; he's nervous, maybe even scared. a women points over to a desk with a computer and a gentle looking women. he nods to her as if saying thank you. peter grabs my hand and pulls me over to the table.

"check-in?" the gentle lady asks. next to her in the seat is a girl with bright purple hair; is she real?

"yes," peter whispers. the lady types on the keyboard and the girl with purple hair smiles at me.

"name of your daughter?"

"joselyn nina caylen."

"great, that's all we need." peter nods and gives me a gentle hug. i stand there shocked, and before i can react he pulls away.

"sir, one of our nurses will show you her room and you can place her bags there." peter nods and gives my hand one last squeeze before following the nurse.

"now, miss joselyn, you are going to go avalon on the official tour." the lady gestures to the girl with purple hair next to her, the girl stands up.

"i'm Avalon." she says sweetly, with a nice smile, as she holds her hand out for me to shake.

"y-you're real?" She sends me a confused look.

"avalon, she has schizophrenia." the lady informs her. Avalon's lips form into an o shape and she nods.

"yes, indeed, i am real." i nod and she gestures for me to follow her. she starts walking straight out the doors.

"tonight alive is a great band." she adds, pointing to my shirt.

"they're one of my favorites." i say, with no expression on my face.

"do you like we are the in crowd?"

"yes!" i squeal, their songs have gotten me through a lot.

"we will get along great." i nod and smile. she holds the door open for me to a small building.

"this is the psychiatrist office. don't worry, it makes you sound crazy, but trust me they aren't bad. i went to one for my anorexia and for self harm. i was also suicidal but no one knows about that but my boyfriend Luke - and now you."

"you had anorexia? but you're overall gorgeous." she blushes and laughs a little.

"thank you. it's okay, luke helped me I don't think that way anymore. of course it's hard sometimes but i'm learning."

we leave this building and head to many others. she shows me where i'm sleeping and all my clothes are now in there which means my parents are long gone. she also showed me the music hall - they had music therapy; my kind of therapy. next she showed me the cafeteria, then other small buildings for other activities, and for other disorders.

"now it's time to meet your counselors. you have the guest counselors, who're also in charge of music therapy." i nod and smile, following her back to the main offices.

"ava!" voices cheer as we turn into the hall. there stands four familiar looking boys, and a girl. she smiles, running into one of the boy's arms. the boy kisses her cheek, hugging her tightly.

"luke, let me go!" avalon squeals, as he tickles her sides.

"i need to introduce her!" she laughs and suddenly a girl pokes my side, a couple of matches in her hand.

"hi." the girl smiles.

"hi." i wave, smiling back.

"how are you, joselyn? I'm lana." she observes the matches, not bothering to come in eye contact with me.

"i'm not great, lana. i don't want to fucking be here, but i guess the people are nice." i stare over at ava and her friends pointing, and smiling. they look awfully confused; am i not supposed to talk?

"that's terrible, i'm here for 'signs of depression and psychotic actions'." she looks up at me, with a sad expression.

"are you real, lana?" i question her. i can hear avalon whispering something and I catch my name.

"of course i'm real." she hands me a match, and has an open lighter in her hand.

"what are you doing?" she laughs, twisting her hair between her fingers and the match.

"burning this place down, what else would I be doing with matches?"

"you can't burn this place down, you'll get in trouble."

"that's why i have you. you're holding the match and i'll give you the lighter."

"i'm not going to burn this place down with you!" i scream, throwing the match at her. the girl comes forward. i start screaming and close my eyes. soon someone grabs my arm and moves their thumb around my bare arm.

"you will and you are!" she screams, louder than my shouts.

i open my eyes and turn my head to the side to see who is holding me. i lock gaze with a boy with beautiful brown eyes. he smiles, and let's go of my arm.

"look at me and take this lighter!" she yells.

Take it, take it, you know you want to. Just do it, you can escape.

"are you alright, love?" as soon as he speaks, the voices in my head completely go away. then they're back as soon as he stops.

"i-i'm okay." he smiles, making me forget what i was previously screaming about.

"i'm glad." i smile bigger and, begin blushing. he chuckles quietly.

"i'm calum, by the way." he holds out his hand for me to shake; I grasp it, letting his hand shake for me.

"i'm joselyn."

"well.. I'm going to call you josie."
