six;
immediately after aria stormed away, I headed back to my room. it was a quiet walk back without someone chatting my ear off. even the voices left me alone, which was quite odd.
maybe it is because all i can think about it calum. his soft, gentle touch. his smooth voice. his plump lips. i can't help but feel giddy. i feel myself bring my fingers up to my mouth; i miss his lips on mine.
i finally reach the room to find calum leaning against the door. he smiles wider and wider as he sees me approach him. i can't help but let a blush rise to my cheeks. calum opens the door for me, like a gentleman. i slide inside past him, and he walks in, letting the door shut behind him. i sit down on my bed, crossing my legs.
"may i sit?" calum asks, nervously biting his lip. i nod and the bed dips down as he relaxes himself on the bed. "how about we play a little game to get to know each other?"
"sure." i look down at my hands folded in my lap.
"how old are you?"
"seventeen, how about you?" i look up to see his reaction.
"eighteen; so this is technically illegal, hot." he says smirking.
"are you trying to be all badass, calum?" i laugh, covering my mouth with my hand. he shakes his head, then pulls my hand away from my face.
"don't cover up, beautiful." i sigh contently and let my hand fall from my face. calum immediately grabs my hand, then the other.
"do you miss your friends and family?" i shake my head. he raises an eyebrow, and i know i have to explain.
"i don't miss them because for one thing i don't have any friends. no one wanted to hang out with the crazy girl who saw and heard things. and my parents don't give a flying fuck about me. they're the big shit back home and they have a daughter like me. it almost ruined them." calum states softly, and sadly at me.
"that's awful, babe." he speaks, his voice full of sadness. i feel tears fall down my cheeks. calum immediately wraps his arms around me, comforting me. i bury my face into his shoulder. he starts humming softly, then let's himself sing. as I calm down his singing comes to an end.
i pull away from his shoulder, but our arms are still wrapped firmly around each other. he smiles softly before placing his lips on mine. my eyes flutter shut, as he cups my cheek with his palm. his grip on me gradually tightens, as does mine on him.
"josie," he breathes against my lips, before pulling away.
"yes?" i open my eyes to come into contact with his chocolate brown eyes. he smiles widely at me.
"well.. i was thinking we play truth or dare or something so we can get to know each other. but i'd honestly rather kiss you." a blush rises to my cheeks, and one comes across calum's.
"you cheeky, little shit." i laugh, then cover my face with my hands.
"fine, we won't just sit here and make out." calum teases, then tickles my sides.
"what's your favorite color?" easy, easy question. i uncover my face to watch Calum once again.
"red, I find it oddly beautiful. what's your favorite time of year?"
"fall; all the beautiful colors, the soft breeze, everything is perfect. why do you find yourself believing you're insane?"
"i hear things that aren't real. i see things that aren't real. no sane person does that. why do you always say i'm not insane?"
