My alarm woke me up at 7am but I buried my face deep into my pillow. My blonde hair was a flurry around my head. I rolled out of my bed and hit the floor hard. I sat up and just closed my eyes as I leaned against my bed frame. My black wings were a complete mess as I brushed the tangled mess that is my hair.
I flapped my wings a little making the bed sheets fly up and off the bed. I glared at them and shrugged. Not important. After I put on actual clothes I stepped out into the cool morning air. My blonde hair blowing back as my red eyes closed, taking in the scent. I had nowhere to go, but keeping up a morning schedule kept my mind in order. I spread my wings wide, and jumped. The abandoned 30 foot tower I’ve lived in for 10 years now disappeared from sight and I smiled. Freedom is one thing heroes don’t have. They can’t do anything without the public commenting on it. I flew into the city; morning traffic already taking over the streets.
I swung low and punched the roof of a car in, denting it permanently. A little evil in the morning always made my day. I flew over the ocean and my wings lightly touched the water splashing my feet, cooling them off but getting the frayed part of my jeans wet. My black t-shirt felt warm on my skin as I spread my arms touching the tips of my wings.
I flew back to my tower and landed gracefully on my porch. I walked into my bedroom to find a male elf sitting on my bed playing with my bracelet.
“What do you think you’re doing!!?” I screamed. I ran over and took the bracelet from him.
“Hey!” I was raiding this place first!”He stood up; his short blue hair didn’t move an inch.
“I live here, you twit!” I shot back harshly my eyes glowing with anger. He smirked and looked right at me. He put his hand on my shoulder and I grabbed his wrist roughly. He winced in pain as my fire hot skin burned his icy one.
“Get out of my house or I'll throw you out…the window.” I said harshly.
“But don’t you remember me, Blast?” The Elf said.
My mind wandered as I searched his face for any kind of recondition. My face froze when I remembered him. Ten years ago, when I we were 8 I was walking through the forest. A little Elf fell from the tree in front of me. I stopped and looked down at the little unconscious guy. I leaned down and touched his chest to make sure he wasn’t dead.
“Hey dude, are you ok?” I said. My little black wings fluttered and I flew only a few inches over him. I poked him again and he grabbed my wrist pulling me in and planting a big wet kiss on my lips. I flew backwards and once I got a look at his face he asked me; “What’s your name?” I stared at him blankly. “Blast. And you?” He smiled. “Casey.” And he ran off into the woods, as I hovered a few feet off the ground stunned at what had just happened.
I was shocked back into reality and I glared at Casey.
“You’re the guy that stole my first kiss!” He looked at me like I was crazy.
“Really that’s all you say to me! I did you a favor!” He said. His hands flew up in the air complaining.
“Yes! And what favor!” I realized that he was still in my house and that just made me even madder.
“Get out of my house Casey!” I shouted pointing to the door. He walked glumly out, his blue head of hair still didn’t move. He turned his head to look at me, his pointy ears slightly down and his big blue eyes stared at me. I still pointed at the door, my hand on my hip.
“Fine.” He said. His hands now on his hips. “But at least I know where u live now.” He smirked and ran out the door noticing my wings were flapping irritably.
I sat down on my bed and covered my face with my hands. I really hated that guy.
