The moment my alarm went off, my eyes shot open. I tried to move but once I did I became aware of the muscular arms wrapped around my waist.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” I shouted.
Casey jumped almost a foot in the air. His normally spiky blue hair was flat and silky and to be honest it looked pretty good.
“What do you mean?! You were the one that was shivering so much it woke me up! The only time you’d shut up was when I was spooning you!”
My face turned bright red from the word spooning but I turned around not facing him.
“Still I can kick you out; I let you sleep on fluffy pillows!”
He rolled his eyes but then he grinned. His bright blue eyes lighting up as he flipped his hair out of his eyes. I stared at him looking annoyed but really I wanted to smile. I crossed my arms and sat on my feet. Casey did the same; copying me. I pushed him off the bed and he fell on the pillows. I got up and started getting ready; my wings folded against my back to keep them from twitching.
“Do you want to come with me?” I drearily asked Casey. I needed to go get some food and I didn’t trust him to stay at my tower without him going through my stuff.
“Nah, I’ll stay here” He said smugly. I opened my wings and used one end to tickle his chin. I put on my flirty face and seductively winked at him.
“Are you sure?” I turned towards the window and opened my wings, looking back at him. I licked my lips and he turned red.
“Fine I’ll go.” He said not making eye contact with me. I flew over gracefully behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt him try to flex and I laughed. I picked him up and we flew out the window.
“Hmmm.” I hummed. “What is a good place to eat?” I said almost to myself.
“How about Rigatonis?” Casey suggested.
“What do they offer?”
“Italian and stuff like that.” He said honestly. I thought for a minute and flew to it.

We stepped into the restaurant but I quickly dodged out of the way of the bright white wing that was extended through the doorway.
“Does she know?” Angle said to someone I couldn’t see.
“There’s no way to tell.”
“Geez.” Angel said as she walked out into the restaurant. I ducked behind a table and pulled Casey close. I would not risk getting caught because of him.
“She already knows it’s in a safe!” Angel came dangerously close to the over turned table I was behind but then she turned around back to the two others that I fought at the bank.
“Angel I’m sorry but we can’t do much about it. She won’t find it though. The woods are too big.” The woman with the dull pink wings quickly covered her mouth with her hand; but I had already heard it.
Angel whirled around to face the woman.
“Ali!” Her face was full of worry. “Be careful of what you say! Blast found out about the safe because of that stupid mechanical bird! I killed it, but the damage was done.” Ali turned towards the male with the tan wings and hid her face in his shoulder.
