I flew straight to the bank. It had been 3 weeks since I last saw Casey and I was relived.  I really hated him. Not only did he steal my first kiss but a few days after he kissed me, I saw him again, and something stirred in my stomach. I ran away and immediately said it was hate; I refused to say the other option.

I reached the bank with ease. I walked inside and everyone’s face made me smile; it was filled with horror. 3 SWAT team officers came up to me with guns in hand. They started shooting, but I calmly stood my ground and let them hit my steel skin, the bullets bouncing off like bubbles. Once they ran out; which took no time at all, I walked up to the officer in front of me, my fingernails sharpened and I raised my hand. In one quick motion I swung my arm down and slashed the officer’s throat and his body fell to the ground. I watched the body spasm for a moment before it relaxed and the floor became wet with blood. I turned to the other officer and whipped my wings forward sending him to the wall with such force, you could hear his neck snap and he hit the floor with a thud. For the last one, I simply walked over and ran one hand to his neck then took my other on his chin and twisted, breaking it. “Poor fragile humans.” I stated.

I walked up to the counter, the woman froze in fear. I scratched my nails against the glass, the noise making the others shiver in pain.

“I’m going to say this once, so listen close.” I looked right into the eyes of the woman. The red intensified by the blood. “Where is the safe?” The woman shook her head furiously.

“There isn’t a safe.” She gulped loudly. “Uh. Ma’am.” I reached under the counter and grabbed her shirt, pulling her till her face was against the glass.

“Are you sure?” I asked every word sounding like it had been dipped in venom and hung out to dry.

The woman started crying and I looked into her eyes and seeing she was telling the truth I ripped the part of the shirt I was holding onto off and threw it on the ground.

“Blast?” I sharply turned around to see the perfectly spiked blue hair and matching blue eyes staring straight at me. “Hey, Blast!” He shouted running over to meet me.

“Casey!!” I said shocked and angry. “Casey what the hell are you doing here in New York! I thought you lived in California like me!” He smiled hugely and a shiver went through me. I refused to show it.

“Well I do, but you see there was this gorgeous wood Elf like me, who I met a while ago. Turned out she lived here, but I told her I would come and visit her. So I came here and saw her and as I was going back, I saw the bank doors were open and then I saw your wings! So I came in here to say Hi!”

“Well you said it, now leave!” I walked swiftly towards the door away from him.

“Blast!” He said whining and grabbed my arm. A shock went through me and I shivered fiercely. He let go and smiled, noticing me blushing. “Let’s go back together.”

“Fine.” I said sharply. Once I did, we were suddenly knocked down. I turned to look next me and I could see Casey knocked out cold.

I stood up quickly I noticed Angel and two others; a male with tan wings and woman with dulled pinkish wings. “Blast.” She purred. “I knew you had low standards but going after an Elf is just sad.” The people in the bank clapped loudly at her arrival. I turned and hissed at them; the applause stopped cold.
