The alarm screamed sharply at seven in the morning. I switched it off and got out of bed. I still couldn’t believe what happened last night. All I know is that I woke up smiling like a fool. I was happy. I walked to the bathroom, splashed some water in my face to wake me up and brushed my hair. For once, my hair looked flawless. It wasn’t straight nor was it curly, just the appropriate proportion of each. I put on my work shirt that was hanging on the door, put on a little bit of foundation and walked out the bathroom past my window. I stopped as I saw Nathan waving to me form his bedroom window. He looked so handsome! I waved back. I backed away from the window after noticing I wasn’t wearing any pants. Why does this keep happening? I think this is the third time he saw me in my undies. I grabbed the jeans from the top drawer and put them on.

I headed downstairs and straight to the kitchen to have some breakfast only to see Cher eating a bowl of cereal and across from her, the one and only, Sawyer drinking a cup of coffee and a blueberry pancake which seems that he cooked himself since Cher is not the one who cooks. I sat in front of them and made a cup of tea. I took a sip and stared at them with a cheeky smile on my face. I kept staring at them until one of them spoken, ‘’What?’’ Cher said.

‘’Oh, nothing.’’ I replied to her. After five minutes of sipping noises and food being swallowed I got curious, ‘’So, what’s the deal with you too?’’

‘’What do you mean?’’ Sawyer asked me as he lifted his head up and looked straight at Cher.

I shrugged my shoulders, ‘’I don’t know.’’ I replied as I took another sip of my tea. ‘’I mean are you friends, are you together, are you friends with benefits?’’. They looked at each other with blank faces, ‘’I’m just curious.’’

‘’Umm…we’re too people who like to’’ Cher paused as she turned to look at Sawyer.

‘’Two people who like to hang out together and have fun.’’ Sawyer said as he completed her sentence.

‘’Yes exactly. Two people hanging out’’ Cher repeated assuring me that they’re noting but hanging out together. They continued with their breakfast and so did I.

I finished my cup of tea and placed it in the sink, ‘’I have to go to work. You’re not working today Sawy?’’ I asked him as I made it across the kitchen.

‘’Yeah I do’’ he said, ‘’tell the boss I’ll be a little late.’’

‘’Ok, see yous’’ I said to them both and rushed out. I hurriedly walked to work thinking about Nathan, me and Nathan, Nathan and I, that kiss. Thinking about the idea of us, or is there an ‘us’. Ah, the thought of it alone sent butterflies all over my body and through every vein in my body. I hope this doesn’t ruin our friendship. I finally arrived. I walked in work to see Nathan already there complimenting customers and talking to none other Tom Hyde. They were whispering to each other and laughing. I made a few steps until he noticed me and smiled at me. I smiled back. All I wanted to do was run up to him and kiss him. But I didn’t. I didn’t know if that was just a onetime thing, so I just smiled at him. I walked to the counter and put on my apron.

After 5 five minutes, I saw Nathan walking towards me and smiling. I started to panic. He stopped right next to me with only space for one atom to pass, ‘’I prefer your black knickers’’ he whispered to my right ear. This is so embarrassing! I turned to face him as he winked.
