The rays of the sun and reflection of the crystal blue waves illuminated together as the lonely walls of warm paint stared down at me in silence. I found my way out of the hallways and sat there, at the balcony beside the bloom of flowers. i've always wondered why they would put a full flower garden beside the sandy beach. i guess it complemented it anyways.

i captured every detail with a flick of my camera.

"kiarin" a voice called me. "arent you coming inside? Its cold out here." he said as he placed his sweater around my shoulders and sat behind me with my head on his. it wasnt sunny, nor raining, but the fog and the ocean air made it extremely chilly.

"nah im fine." i smiled slyly. "its just that-- i like the view here you know." i said as i inhaled the fresh air coming from the shore. my eyes wandered as a butterfly's wings flap to a nearby bloom.

we've been together for a year and a half and i was pretty much contented with what i had. he may not be close to perfection, but he was there for me every time i needed him.

"my grandma made this garden. it took her two years." tristan said, stroking my hair.

i was impressed by all the effort she took. everything looks pretty, and healthy. "she must've loved gardening." i said

"she does." he smiled

everything was a mix of red, yellow, blue, white and violet. the variety of colors was an awe for my eyes. some were big, some were small. but only one flower had caught my attention. it was a black rose in the middle of the garden. it was jet as a raven's feather, as though its petals were burned but still managed live. 'a living rott" i thought
it's wonder was feeding me with curiosity that seemed to cripple, it wanted me to go there.

i heard the doorbell rang which alerted both me and tristan

"it must be the delivery." he said as we both stood. but before leaving he placed a peck on my forehead. "i'll go check, you can roam around for a bit."

i gave him a quick nod and went of.

my feet strode to the flower of rott. it seemed to glimmer upon my sight. a rose so delicate was stained with black. but still, it was pretty as it was unique. it isolated itself from the rest of the blooms, crawling on a marbled post with thorns sharp enough to prick.

"arent you a lovely one." i whispered my thoughts as i touched the petals. it was soft and seemed flawless.

As my hands studied the flower, a painful thorn poked through my skin. the pain traveled to my head causing it to throb. I immediatly covered my head, hopefully it could soothe the pain.

"Aiden!!!" a sudden call made me stagger. It was clearly coming from the shore. As though calling someone from afar. It was enough to make me wonder, so i let my curiosity take me.

With the wind clashing through my body, it gave sent me chills all over. My feet strode through the pebbles And there he was, a figure of black and white, but though it was blurry. My eyes focused but failed as i tried. The same ache striked my forehead oncemore and there i grasped my forehead. This time it was a short one. My eyes slowly cleared and There i saw him, he was a young boy probably with the same age as mine.

"excuse me are you lost?" he turned to look but seemed unsure to answer. As though frightened by my sight. "hello?" i tried oncemore

"im looking for my friend." he said with the eyes that looked gloomy.

"is there any way i could help? Where did she last go?"

He looked more unsure wether to trust me or not. I couldnt blame him. But with his thin shirt and shorts , he looked like he could need a shelter. its cold outside and he must be freezing.

He was just staring at me not answering my question. I neared him to close off our distance.

"whats your name?" i asked him.

"nathan." he doesnt seem to be the talkative type judging by how little he speaks and how low his voice is. He raised his arm as though pointing at the nearby forest. "i need go there, would you come with me?"

"but thats too far" his face drooped as though he had lost hope.

"you said you could help me."

He had a point, if i offered help then I shouldn't complain

I felt a buzz on my lap, my phone was ringing.

"sorry, excuse me for a sec." i said before answering the phonecall. i looked at my phone and it reads tristan.

"hello-"

"kiar where the hecc are you?" tristan's voice echoed through the line

"oh i found a guy by the shore, i think he's lost." i tried to make my voice low, hoping he wouldnt hear it.

"didnt your mom tell u not to talk to strangers?" i heard sarcasm from his voice. He really gets cranky when anxious.

"oh come on, he mite be in danger."

"well you might get yourself in danger because of talking to someone u assume is in danger you dummy. No one knows what his intentions could be. Where is he?"

"well he's besi--" i took a quick glimpse and saw nothing but the sands and pebbles. It sent shivers down my spine. He left so sudden, but where could he possibly go?

He just vanished without a notice.

"kiar? Are you still there?"

"nevermind i'll go back now. Sorry for scaring you." i heard a sigh from the other line

"hurry, the party starts at 6pm. Your dress is already here."

i ended the call and strode my way in through the gate fence that bordered the shore from the garden.
