Planning the Unplanned Plan

My eyes looked straight at the main door. There were many questions in my mind, but I didn't know the answers. Without wasting a second, I paddled towards the door that still made creaking noises.

I found myself outside looking for that strange creature. I checked the gallery. Then, I made my way to the backyard. And finally, came back to the front door. I found no one. How was that even possible? I tried to show courage in the face of affliction and went back to the bedroom.

Next morning, I put on my school uniform and went to the dining table. I couldn't eat properly but dad forced me to.

"You're already anaemic, dear." He told.

"Um, okay. But I don't-" I was about to end it but mom busted in.

"Kaylee...." She wore an annoyed look. 

By listening all this, I helped myself stand up and wandered towards the car. Today, I had to pick Steve, one of my best friends, since told me his car was out of petrol.

I reached Steve's house. He was standing in his garden, maybe waiting for me. He turned around and smiled hard after seeing me. It seemed like he was waiting for a long time.

Steve was fast. Faster than an airplane. He covered all his homework in 15 minutes.

Steve paddled towards my car with his hands in his jeans' pocket. "Hey dear!" He greeted with a smile.

"Hello! How are you?" I answered.

"What can happen to me? By the way, did you prepare Math's test?" He asked as he sat in and fastened his seat belt. Even if he was thirteen, he looked like he was eighteen. Every girl loved him including me but I never mentioned.

My head shook itself. I opened my eyes and realized I was busy looking at him for about 10 minutes. I opened my mouth and spoke, "Can we move now?" I stared down at my feet.

"That's what I'm asking from the last five minutes." Steve laughed. I loved him when he did.

"Oh, haha."

I started the engine.

At the school, I met my friends and they told me they had kept something for me. So, they took me to the classroom. I entered the class but saw nothing special. I stared at Emma.

"Don't you see? We've got a science exbibition." Emma informed me.

I shook my head. "Why did you even tell it to me? I was better without it."

I pulled a face.

"We both are in one team, Kay!" Emma took out her hand for a high five. But I didn't. So the class laughed at her.

Now that's something" I smirked and made my way to the board that displayed the groups' names. It carried:

Where were the rest? I was thinking when Mrs. Sommers came in.

"Good Morning everyone." She greeted in such a sweet voice. "The Sceince Exhibition is coming soon. I hope you all are aware of that." She started. "It's between the last winners, I clarify. So the people mentioned are required to sit in the library at break for an importatnt meeting. Understood?" She ended and got busy checking some files.

Everyone cheered.

After a minute, she turned around and said,"Today, I want you all to draw a sketch on the collapse of the Roman Empire. Start working." She ended by giving an annoying look.

We were all busy drawing. I murmered to Avril sitting next to me.

"Hey, yesterday...." I whispered.

"Yesterday..."

"I...at night...I saw..."

"Saw what?"

Mrs. Sommers banged my table. "No talking."

She warned and went away. Avril got busy in her work again.

"I saw an alien!" I muttered.

"What? An alien? How's that possible?" Avril replied.

"It was a weird creature. I saw it on the main door!"

We became louder.

I lifted my head up to see if Mrs.Sommers was here. Of course she was. But asleep. Everyone whispered.

Avril and Me laughed.

After a minute, everyone gathered around my table.

"I heard you talking about aliens!" Zac spoke slowly.

"You know what? The same happened with me!!" Olivia told everyone.

"WHAT!"

"Maybe it was a dream becuase we studied about aliens?" Troy, who was such a quiet guy, finally said something.

I took a deep breath.

"Let's get together at your house tonight. We'll check it out!"
Jake gave an idea.
