it all starts with five letters.

five letters, consuming the way she'll speak for the rest of her life.

each letter, latching on to her tongue and releasing her confidence into the air like her childhood self did her favorite kite.

now without her confidence, her insecurities are now on display.

it's a strong person she can no longer portray, for all over her pride has been washed away.

she's permanently plagued by five letters, despite future efforts.

so years later, five letters embedded in her speech,

she tries to breathe back in her confidence but it's far up in the atmosphere, it's out of reach.

so she experiments with bleach, each time marking a new era.

i liked her when she was blue better.

so i try break her free from the cuffs of her newfound dialect.

but then i realized that easing a parasite from its host isn't simple.

she was in desperate needs, those five letters making her ego cripple.

so i tried to use my words as a scalpel but it was a little too blunt to manage.

and while i'm putting a band aid on where her parasite consumed most of her, i realized that in the long run, i probably caused more damage.

sorry.
