Two months had passed without Willow. It was so hard to concentrate on my work. Everyday it's like she is there but in a split second she fades away.
I entered my office, more like my workplace. I adjusted my glasses and yawned. I leaned against my chair, my posture slouched due to exhaustion, my head felt heavy: it's like I haven't had sleep in days, well it's partially true. My eyes closed like a shutter to restrict light from coming in.
My short nap wass interrupted when someone slammed something on my table. "I am up," I got up, my eyes were alert as I saw Kate with a red cup on the table; steam rising from it. "So it's you," I yawned again.
"Why have you been so tired lately?" She asked.
"Can't get enough sleep." I said.
"Here, have coffee." She hands me the red mug as I take a sip of the black coffee.
"What is it you want to tell me?" I said as I felt a bit awoke.
"You have to get your sleep because we are going to be travelling soon."
"Why is that?" I am really not in the mood of talking.
"Everyone loved our duet, they think we sound amazing." You mean I sound amazing?
"Where are we going to go first?" I took another sip as it gave me energy.
"London." She said.
"When?" I started to take another sip.
"Tomorrow." I choked onto my drink and cough. "Are you okay?" She patted my back.
"No. . . Definitely not." I cough. "First you tell me that I need my energy for travelling as we sounded 'amazing'." I air quoted it. "Trust me woman you sound like nails scratching on a chalk board." She gasps. "Second, you tell me to pack as we are going tomorrow." I really didn't meaning to say all those things. I saw that her eyes welled up with tears. She used the desk to make her steady and sanks onto the chair near her. Dammit, did you have to do that. "Kate, I am sorry." I knelt before her as she continues to sob. "Kate, see it's not easy for me to balance my life and my career. I have been stressed out lately. Please forgive for what I have said." I took her clasped hands in mine.
"You are right." She sniffled. "I know that I can't sing, but I still try. You will do great in your career believe me." She gave a sad smile.
"I am ready for tomorrow." I said.

"You can't leave without my permission." My mother shouted as I folded my clothes.
"Mom, I am not a kid anymore. I am an adult." I told her.
"No you are not an adult you will always remain a kid."
"Mom, please let me go. It is a big turn in my career." I explained.
"What about me?" Thank you mom for worrying.
"I am not going forever, it's just a month. I will be back in a blink of an eye."
"Fine. I am letting you go. But you have to call me once everyday."
"Okay, mom."

"Did you take your medicines?" She said.
