Spyen slowly started to regain consciousness and the moment she opened her eyes she was in a slightly unfamiliar room. Her fear jolted her into a sitting position only she immediately regretted it. The whole room around her was spinning and she gripped her head in pain.
"Whoa, you'll want to take it easy."
Spyen slowly re-opened her eyes and saw Clint sitting on the chair across the room.
Spyen looked around the room, "Where are we."
Clint gave a smile, "Home."
Spyen's mind finally locked in and she let out a sigh. "How long was I out?"
Clint stood up, "Almost eighteen hours. Whatever she did to you caused you to black out. We tried to wake you on the jet, but you wouldn't even flinch."
Spyen swallowed, "She didn't do anything to me. I didn't see anything."
Barton sat on the bed, "She didn't manipulate your mind?"
The agent pushed the blanket off of her and swung her legs to the side, "No, It was like we had a connection. I knew she wanted to manipulate me, but it was like she made a second decision not to." Spyen pulled in a sigh, "Wait, how is everybody else?" She realized she wasn't the only one attacked.
Clint looked down, "We took a hit, but we will be okay. But Nat, she's still shaken. I don't know what the enhanced showed her, but it really hit hard."
Spyen bit her lip, "I wish I could have helped."
Barton looked down at the brunette, "You did. If you hadn't warned us about the other soldiers, we would have been shot."
Spyen looked up at Clint and for a moment she was deep in thought, but it wasn't her thought. Spyen narrowed her eyes, "Nat?"
Clint fully turned to Spyen, "What?"
Spyen tilted her head, "She's...She's in Russia and the Academy."
Clint's posture melted, "Is that..."
Spyen let out a small nod, "She's reliving her final at the Academy. It's dark and fearful."
Clint let out a sigh, "She pushed all of that away. Wanda must have pulled it to the surface again."
Spyen dropped from Natasha's thoughts, "I read her file, but I didn't know what she had to go through. I can't imagine how she is feeling right now."
Spyen glanced down as her words brought up a thought of her own. The thought of Skye sent Spyen down a startling steep slope and Clint noticed.
"Hey, you okay?"
Spyen looked down at her hands and shook her head, "No."
Clint gently put a hand on her shoulder, "What's wrong?"
Spyen shook her head again but kept her mouth shut. As Spyen thought about her sister, she could feel old emotions start to stir in her body. She could feel how she failed to gain control the first few weeks of her new powers. She could feel how angry Skye was at her for not a single reason. She could feel how she was rejected by the agents in SHEILD.
Spyen looked down at her hands and could feel her body temperature start to rise. She pulled in a panicked breath and quickly stood on her feet with wide eyes.
Clint looked up at her with worry, "Spy, talk to me."
Spyen swallowed but kept her head down, "When I get emotional I can feel myself become out of control." Spyen looked up at Clint with red eyes, "I feel like something might happen." Spyen's words had become slow and drawn out as she felt her body overhead.
