I wake up in a warm bed; somewhere unknown. Everything that happened last night replays in my head. I sit up taking in my surroundings. Where am I?

I'm in a fairly big room with dark shades covering the windows. The walls are covered in a pretty floral wallpaper- one I would've chosen for my own room.

I slowly get up from the bed being cautious not to make any sound, panic starts to set in as I realize what situation I'm in. I look down at my exposed legs. I'm wearing an over sized t-shirt. This isn't mine.

I walk over to the window desperately trying to open it, but it's locked. I walk towards the door and turn the knob, my heart beats faster as I pull the door slowly.

I hear whispering coming from down the hall and I stay quiet listening to the two strangers speaking.

"I need to check on her. I think she's up, Payton." the boy says.

"No, Cal, I've been through this before. I know what she's feeling let me talk to her." the girl says.

"Pay-" the girl interrupts him before he could finish his sentence.

"Calum. I've got this." they stop talking after that so I assume she's coming.

I shut the door making my way over to the bed and laying down pretending to be asleep. The bed dips beside me signaling Payton is next to me.

"Alaska, I know you're up. I know this is scary because you're with total strangers, but will you please listen to what I have to say?" How does she know my name? I look up at Payton, I think that's her name, nodding my head slightly.

"Okay. I'm Payton. You're with us for a reason. I promise Calum will never hurt you or let anyone hurt you. He truly cares about you. Trust me, I know. Now that that is out of the way is there anything you want to ask me?" as Payton finishes a million questions pop in my head.

"W-who is Calum?" my voice sounds so small and wounded.

"He's the guy that brought you here from that alley last night." the memory of me laying in that alley last night after my breakdown comes to mind and I do remember someone carrying me somewhere. I just didn't know where.

My mind was thinking of so many things. What is Payton is lying and all he's going to do is hurt me? How do I know I'm safe?

"I'll give you some time. You can come to the kitchen for breakfast when you're ready." Payton gives me a small smile while she leaves the room.

I feel like I can trust Payton. She doesn't seem that bad.

"Dad, I wish you were here so you could tell me what to do." I whisper to myself fumbling with my thumbs.

I feel my bottom lip pout out and my jaw starts to shake. Cry. I've been doing that a lot lately. I use to be so happy. What happened?

I wipe my tears with the back of my hand decided I should go to the kitchen. I open the door hesitantly walking down the long flight of stairs.

I look around the immense house that seems to be empty. I finally find what seems to be the kitchen. I see a tall dark haired boy cooking something on the stove.

"Who are you?" I squeak out. He turns around looking at me head to feet. I suddenly feel self conscious and pull the shirt further down even though it goes back to the same spot in the middle of my thighs.

"I'm Calum." He flashes me a smile. He seems so comfortable around me. He basically kidnaped me and he's not fazed by it one bit.

"Damn Alaska, I thought you might've gotten hurt last night. Are you okay?" He walks over to me examining my face and body closely.

"Why am I here?" I ask stepping away from the boy feeling frightened.

"Let's get some food in your tummy, then I'll explain everything." Calum says while grabbing my hand pulling me toward the table.

Everything was so quiet and awkward I just couldn't handle it. I dropped my fork down onto my plate.

"Please don't hurt me." I whimpered looking at Calum as he sat across the table.

His big brown eyes soften as he slowly walks over to me. I scoot away from him, tears falling for the second time this morning.

"I just don't understand why you brought me here." I brought my knees up to my chest.

"I couldn't just leave you there, Alaska. I saw you laying on the ground practically broken. I couldn't handle it, I needed to save you. I needed to stop your pain." He reaches over and swipes his thumb under my cheek, drying my tears.

My stomach fluttered and in that moment I felt safe. There had to be a reason he did it and I plan on finding out.

"But how did you know my name?" Payton knew it too and they're both complete strangers.

"Oh, we checked your ID." I nod my head gazing up at Calum.

He's honestly really good looking. The way his cheek bones stand out. Especially when he smiles. His hair is so curly and I find myself thinking of running my hands through it.

The rest of the day we literally learn everything about each other and watch random movies. He's really good at helping me forget about him.

The night time seems to come so soon and Calum and I decide to both go to sleep. I make my way to my room changing into a new shirt, that's Calum's of course. I lay down exhausted falling asleep with ease.

I see him in the same hospital bed, the monitor is beeping loudly. I do all of the things I did that day in this dream. It's not really a dream. It's a nightmare.

I jolt awake screaming out for him. My breathing is uneven and Calum rushes through the door.

"Alaska! Are you okay?" My face feels hot and sweaty.

"Yeah, just a nightmare. Sorry for waking you." Calum nods and shuts the light off beginning to walk away.

"Calum? Stay, please." I practically beg.

"Sure." He lays down next to me draping an arm around me.

"Promise me you wont leave?" I whisper looking around the dark room.

"Promise." He says while lacing his fingers with mine.
