Part Eleven: Soon Enough

Sans' POV:

"Deal." I floated down, looking Inana in the eye.

"SANS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Papyrus was freaking out.

"She'll go. But you'd better leave this timeline alone. And don't think that I won't hunt you down. I'm talking to you, Nightmare."

"I know you will, Death," Inana replied for him, "I'm counting on it."

I exhaled and turned around to face Frisk, summoning my scythe.

"No!" Ophe screamed, running towards me.

I swung the weapon towards Frisk, killing her. Inana even looked shocked for a moment before going back to smiling, "The first thing to break is the skeleton's heart. And I think I've done that."

She disappeared, teleported away. I turned to make sure that Frisk was okay, not being able to control how hard I had really hit her.

Frisk groaned and rolled over to face me, holding her head, in pain.

"I-I'm sorry, I-I had to get him o-o-off our back for a-a while. I-I'll heal you--"

Frisk smiled and reached up, cupping my cheek, "You crazy skeleton."

Inana's POV:

"Frisk!" I screamed, watching helplessly as Nightmare controlled my body.

Sans had really done it. He had killed Frisk!

"Nightmare! Stop this! Right now!" I shouted, trying to get back control.

He had teleported me back, us back, to the dark room, back to where I had lost control. I struggled to get out immediately, Nightmare becoming physical beside me.

"You know you'll never get out, right?" I could hear his sick grin.

"Let me go!"

"You're the weakest one, Inana. I can't do that. I need a secret weapon. And you're the one for this timeline."

I thought about that statement for a moment, "This timeline. . .? Wait, how many others have you taken?" I turned to face him.

He began walking away, "Tell me!"

He stopped and turned around, throwing me against the wall with his magic.

"You don't want to know how many."

Nightmare opened a door, leading to blinding light. I got up and ran towards the door, as I always did, but this time, I got out. I started falling and landed on solid ground.

"What the--?!"

Standing up as quickly as I could I started running, towards what I could only assume was the exit. I could hear his footstep's close behind me and I ran faster, towards the door.

I slammed the door open, almost taking it off of its hinge's, and ran into it. I ran into another dark room, seeing someone else in this one.

"Hello?" I called.

They turned to look at me, looking all too familiar. They looked like--

"Chara?"

"Who are you?" This Chara asked, turning to face me a little bit.

"I'm--" I cut myself off by a strangled gasp as Nightmare pulled me back and out of the room, slamming the door closed. I could hear the person banging on the door, calling out for me, calling out for help.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I questioned him, struggling against his tough grip.

"I'm not going to tell you that. But you'll find out soon enough."
