Who Brought Them Together

~Chapter 5~

    KC's POV:

"P-please dad....d-don't do this..." I cry quietly, my back against the corner. Dad screams at me, making my world completely crumble. I hear a crashing noise, as I can feel a sharp, painful piercing feelings enter my skin in several different places.
    
I reach for one of the wounds, then lift my hand back up to see blood has stained my finger. I cry harder as I fall to the ground, hopeless.

I snap out of it, breathing heavily sitting on my bed. Tears fill my eyes as I cry silently, trying not to wake up Zane. He can't see me like this...he would leave me. Just like they all do.

I cry harder, louder this time.

Zane's POV:

I wake up to a crying noise, and sit up immediately, then look around.
   
"N-nana..." I say as I see her, my heart sinking.

   KC's POV:

I cry even harder when I see Zane's face, then bury mine into his shoulder, crying into his sweatshirt.
    
"N-nana...what's wrong..." He asks in a soothing yet concerned tone. I start to take deep breaths, trying to forget the flashback. My crying stops, but tears still run down my face.
     
"J-just a flashback." I say, my face still buried into his shoulder. I feel his hands on me, his arms wrapping around me. I sit there in his arms, my eyes bloodshot and filled with tears.

It's 8 am now, I managed to get a little bit more sleep. I look up and see that I am still in Zane's arms, and that he had fallen asleep as well.

Zane's POV:

I wake up slowly, seeing Nana still in my arms. She looks up at me with her glowing Amber eyes, a smile on her face.
    
"Good morning Zane~Senpai!" She giggles, her cheeks going a light and faint red.
   
"Senpai, huh?" I smirk and laugh silently as her cheeks go darker red.
    
"W-well I...I..u-um..." She stutters nervously.
    
I smile. "I'd be honored to be your Senpai, Nana." I laugh quietly to myself. I see her, smiling brighter, still in my arms, looking up at me. I kiss her cheek as she giggles, her ear twitching.
   
"Hey, Nana?" I begin to ask.
   
"Yes Zane~Senpai?" She asks, still smiling brightly.
  
"W-what was your flashback about?"
             
     KC's POV:

I can feel my face droop as he says those words. If I ever told him...he would never accept me. If my so called best friends turned on me....how can I know that he won't do the same..?
   
I look up into his eyes, struggling to answer.
