Marco's POV

Things have changed at Project Liberty since my dad killed himself. It became clear that me leaving for good had taken a toll on him.

The Diaz Cartel fell apart under Torres when he became too much of a tyrant and fucked over another cartel because he wanted their territory.

The boxes were moved and being unpacked by the residents, larges amounts of products to be sold in local shops and tools for other things needed in the town. I was overseeing the operation, looking at how the residents were not fearful anymore.

There were no more curfews, deaths and no more pain. The hubbub of happy voices exchanging words warmed my heart.

I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned a familiar smile that belonged to Frank, he could finally rest knowing that Project Liberty was running cleanly. His spirit would always remain here.

A local girl came up to me with a flower. Her sway reminded of how Eve would have approached me, I smiled as she got closer. She placed the flower behind my hair and thanked me for all work that my team and I did.

I got so caught up in her similarities to Eve that I hadn't realised that she had left me standing there. Eve stayed in my mind no matter how much I tried to get over here, no matter how many women I slept with that looked like her.

My heart skipped a couple of beats just thinking of her at this moment and it yearned for her so much. But my thoughts about what happened to us halted my desire for her.

Staying in Colombia to run both Project Liberty and Focus Financial wasn't easy but it made easier to cope with loneliness. I visited my mother's grave every day asking for guidance and she always delivered.

"It's great to see Project Liberty flourishing the way that Frank wanted. You should proud of removing your father's presence from here." Amanda said, walking up next to me.

" I am, don't worry about that" I replied. I turned around, walking to the headquarters and making my way to my room.

Amanda followed behind, watching me pack the rest of my things in my suitcase.

"Are you sure ready to go back to London, Marco?" She asked nervously, I glanced at her in confusion. She was probably worried about me seeing Eve again.

"Yeah I need to and I...want to. Get your stuff and let's go to the airport." I said, getting my stuff and leaving the room.

I talked to the manager of Project Liberty to make sure that the operations moved smoothly. I go to the car which drove Amanda and me to the airport. Once we were on the plane, things felt like they may be good again. The lies and deception that made me hate Eve seemed to disappear as we got closer to London.

Eve's POV

The office was bubbling with excitement as me and my employees uncovered our first cover star: Solani. She was an up and coming music artist making major moves in the music industry due to her bold songs about black female narratives.

I couldn't believe that I managed to launch MelaninGlow with a little help from Jerry, Tanya and Carly. Jerry enjoyed the process of the launch so much that he quit Icon and joined me as a Senior Writer at MelaninGlow. Somehow even he managed to convince Tanya's mean self to date him. They had been official for 3 months now.

The champagne was handed out as there was a hubbub of chatter amongst the people who made me my dream come true.

I tapped the fork against my champagne glass, catching the attention of everyone. I stood on the stairs, staring down at the eager audience.
