I just moved here, I was living in a flat near some family friends. Sienna was my best friend since I was born; we were practically sisters to each other. That was until we moved across the globe, then it was hard to be as close but we still Skype chatted most nights and all. We have moved to the same city they are living in, it was just easier and I was more then thrilled. We moved because my mum had a job offer here so now I attend the local high school. This guy's parents disowned him or something and Sienna's family agreed to take him in and Jay was the most annoying and arrogant son of a bitch. But I learned to ignore him when I went over to Sienna's.
"Valentine!" my mum yelled, making me help her bring one of the many suitcases she was juggling.
"Do you want to wake the whole bloody neighbourhood on the first day?" I hissed under my breath, I took two of the suitcases from her and walked down the stairs a lot faster than her.
"Delilah? You need to help mum!" I said into our new flat room.
"I call dibs on this room!" she yelled from a room. I followed her voice to the biggest room.
"I'm pretty sure this is mum's room." I said pulling her by the hand out of the room. She is nine and as much as I love her she is a pain in the neck. "Come on." I said pulling her up the stairs.
"Where do I sleep then?"
"The laundry." I said nonchalantly, smiling at myself in my mind.
"Why don't we swap?"
"Why don't we not?" we are sister's, we bicker a lot. She pouted out her bottom lip, which didn't make her look any cuter but I did laugh. I wrapped my arm around her, hugging her to my hip.
We got the last of the suitcases, helping my mum, and started putting stuff away in the already furnished rooms. The men who took our furniture here had already set it all up, our family friend must have told them where to put our stuff as she was an interior designer and also the fact that our plane was late.
I looked around the rooms, spotting my bed and furniture I walked in. The walls were a plain cream colour. I really will have to paint them because they were so boring. Or I could just buy those epic wall stickers to make it more interesting. Either way, it was boring.
"Mum! I want this room!" whined Delilah, standing in the doorway of my new room. I turned around and crossed my arms, death staring her. She took a step back and yelled out "Don't worry actually! I love my room!" before sprinting down the hall.
I chuckled to myself and then heard a knock at the door. Sprinting to get it while my mum unloaded one of the boxes in the living room.
"VAL!" yelled Sienna, she then attacked me in a hug. Her mother stepped around us two, heading to my mother to say hello and to no doubt take control of putting objects away.
"Oh my god! I missed you so much!" Someone behind us cleared their throat and we pulled apart to see Jay looking at us with his arms crossed and his usually dangerous look set on his face.
He shouldered his way past us, walking into god knows where. He had quite a rep for being a player and being a bad boy, being with girls for a few days until he got what he wanted, pretending he actually cared. It sickened me. He also has been in rehab and jail a few times. No one ever knows the truth why, they are just all rumours pretty much.
I showed her my room and we also explored the other rooms, there was a spare room, which I neglected to notice, and the kitchen was modern and really cool. We cooked two minute noodles for dinner for all of us which broke the news of something I never wanted to hear.
