Chapter 26 Talked with Parents

I DID IT!

Three months na palugit ang hiningi ng parents ni Sophie. They wanted to stick to the period given before proposing to theIr daughter. I formally asked for her hand the time that we're together after she left for Paris. Her mom cried and his dad was speechless.
When he came into his senses, he invited me to have a man-to-man talk while tita is preparing for our dinner.
"I don't still want Sophie to get married this time. But I respected your intention. If my daughter is happy to start a family of her own with you. Then who am I to hinder?" I can feel the sadness. I know how Sophie is so dear to them.
"Tito, I don't want to lose her this time. Not ever again. I don't want to regret the time we let pass on us. We're not getting any younger na rin po." I sounded so hopeful.
"I know son. Your parents have been our friends for so long now. I've seen you grow up into one fine man. A very successful at that. I can feel how you love my daughter." I felt so relieved upon hearing that from him. Halos mapasuntok ako sa hangin because of the happiness that's so overwhelming. Hindi ako makahinga.
I hugged him so tight, "thank you so much Tito! You don't know how you make me so happy." Naluluha kong sabi sa kanya. Tss. Nakakabakla talaga ito. Damn it!
"Not so fast Raphael. Siguraduhin mo munang handa ka sa isasagot ni Sophia sa iyo." Niloloko ako ni Tito. I know he can see me crying.
"Siguraduhin ko pong yes ang isasagot niya sa akin." I told it more to myself.
"Just promise me one thing. This would be a big favor you can give to a father." Kinabahan naman ako sa sinabi niya.
"What could that be Tito?"
Katahimikan. He already said yes, right?
"Ahm, I know how youth are nowadays-" alanganin niyang panimula.
"We're mature adults Tito." Putol ko pa sa sasabihin niya. Goodness! We're not teenagers. Ano bang pinaglalaban niya.
"That doesn't give you the permission to do such things. You know what I mean Raphael!" Naku lagot! Nagalit ko ata si Tito eh.
"I know po what you mean po Tito." Tiklop na ako ngayon. Baka bawiin pa nya ang matamis niyang pag sang-ayon sa aking plano eh.
"You have to control your libido young man. I hate to elaborate thing like that. You should know your limits and stick to that. I will be thinking you being celebrate for three months of being with her. Especially that you will be living on the same penthouse." Paalaala niya sa akin.
Ah yun naman pala eh. Teka Kaya ko nga bah? WTH!
I recollect myself. "We will be occupying different rooms po. Don't worry Tito, I will give her due respect po. Hindi ko po kayo bibiguin. Kakayin ko po. That's how I love her with all my heart."
"Thank you son."
Biglang bumukas ang pintuan ng library nila. It's Sophie's mom. She still beautiful inspite of her age. She looks more like Sophie. But features of her dad also resembles her eyes and prominent nose. Kaya Sophie could intimidating at times like her dad. But the soft and sweet image from her mom always fully comes out specially when my Sophie smiles.
"You guys done" as she crooked her head while checking on us.
"Yes hon/yes tita." Halos sabay naming sagot sa kanya.
"Let's go then. Dinner is ready." She smiled to both of us. I can see my Sophie to be like her soon.
Our dinner went well. Pinaalalahan ako ni tita how precious is her princess to them. I assured her that I will love and take care of their princess the best way can. Cause I love doing it. Habang si Tito ay tahimik lang habang kumakain.

And I succeeded with the duration of three months given to me. I was able to do a tremendous self-control in my entire life. Mas lalo kong na appreciate ang pagsasama namin ni Sophie. I treasure every moment we're together. I explained to her our current situation and helped me get through with it.
He should know by now. I dialed my phone with much excitement.
