Rose pov
I walk into the kitchen, and straight the the frigde, not eating anything all day.
I grab some vegtables and start cutting them up. I throw them in the bowl as I grill up some chicken in a frying pan. I put it all together and sit by the table.
I start eating it, somehow enjoying the silence of the house. I take in a deep breath before swallowing more of it.
I stab another piece of lettuce with my fork, picking it up and placing it in my mouth. I look around the empty dining room table, and the paintings on the walls.
The front door opens, making me jump. I roll my eyes, sighing, and pick up another piece of my salad.
"Hey you" Jack says from behind me, placing a kiss on my forehead. I place my fork back on the table.
"I'm going to go get out of my uniform, I'll be back downstairs when I'm done" he says, and I slowly nod my head.
I grab the rest of my salad and toss it in the trash, not feeling hungry anymore. I walk back to the dinning room, and into the living room. I looked down at Jack sitting on the floor with a bunch of board games.
I sit across from him and he smiles up at me. I stare at the pile, pulling out Sorry and placing it infront of us. He opens the box, and allows me to pick my color first.
I take the green pawns, as he takes the yellow onces, and we put the in our spots. We start playing the game in complete silence, and he stares at me.
"How was your day?" He whispers akwardly, and I shrug my shoulders a little.
"How about yours?" I ask him, and he repeats my actions. I flip another card and move my pawn.
"Besides dealing with a bunch of rude old guys all day, it was okay" He says, taking his turn.
"I thought you liked your job?" I question, watching him move his pawn 6 spots along the board.
"I do, but it takes a lot of work and patience sometimes" he says looking up at me, "especially now that we got the big guy in the house" he whispers, regret written all over his face, and I bite my lip.
"Yeah" I simply say, moving the green piece into the home space, as I feel his eyes on me.
We sit in akward silence as I win the game. We clean it up and place it back on the pile of boxes.
"You up for another game, or is it time to hit the pillow" he says, and I yawn covering my mouth.
"I guess that answers my question, doesn't it?" He laughs and I nod my head.
I lead him up the stairs and into his room, jumping on the bed. He laughs jumping next to me, and we get under the covers. He presses and button, shutting the lights off.
We stare at the dark ceiling for a few moments, and I roll over. I look towards the window and sigh.
"This whole thing has gotten you messed up, hasn't it?" He whispers, almost to soft for me to hear him.
"Nobody gets it" I say blankly, "and frankly I don't get it either" I spat as I bring the covers over my head.
"Get what? How do you know I-" he starts before I jump up and face him.
"Because you won't!" I snap at him and I watch his eyes grow in the darkness of the room.
"Nobody gets that there is more to a person then just their reputation!" I yell, staring to breathe heavy.
