Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
A hand creeped out of the covers and grabbed the phone to turn off the alarm. A blue headed figure sat up from the bed. He got out of bed and stood up. He swayed a bit, since his eyes was still closed but he steadied himself. He rubbed his eyes and slowly opened them. Sunlight blared through the window and nearly blinded him again. He stretched and went to the bathroom to wash up. He went in front of the mirror to tooth brush. He looked at his bed hair and decided to shower at least to tame it. In 30 minutes he was down in the kitchen to have some breakfast.
"Good Morning," the boy says to his mother who was busy preparing food in the kitchen.
"Kuroko! Good morning, breakfast is ready," she said cheerfully. His mom was a petite woman with light blue hair like him up until her shoulders. Unlike Kuroko, she smiles as much as she can and is always cheerful. Currently she is wearing an apron as she cooks.
Kuroko sat down in the table.
"Thanks for the food," he said in gratitude. Suddenly he hears a bark beside him. He smiles to see the same eyes as him looking up at him.
"Good morning Nigou," Kuroko replied to the dog.
"Arf!!"
"So are you excited for your first day Kuroko? My son in college already?" she said in disbelief.
"Well I do feel refreshed mom," Kuroko replied. In a few minutes he has finished his food and gave some to Nigou also. Kuroko grabbed his bag and put on his basketball shoes, they are the most comfortable pair he owned. He saw that his dad's shoes are missing. He must have left early for work.
"I'm going!" Kuroko called out.
"Stay safe!" he heard his mom call out from the kitchen. Nigou barked as well as if to say the same thing.
Kuroko opened the door and takes his first step to a new chapter in his life.

Kuroko headed to the subway. The college he is attending is 5 stops away by train. Kuroko grabbed a book from his bag as he waited for the train to arrive. Since it was rush hour there was a big crowd but he was easily able to evade that due to his lack of presence. But suddenly, a person bumped into him and dropped his book."Ah, I'm so sorry! So sorry! I'm such an idiot! Let me get that for you!"the stranger said loudly.
"Ah, it's fine-" Kuroko starts to say but then he had eye contact with the stranger. His eyes widens as he realizes the person who is in front of him.
"Sawamura?" Kuroko realized.
"KUROKO?!" Sawamura shouted. His golden eyes wide in shock.
"It is you!" Sawamura rejoiced and hugged Kuroko tight.
"Um, it's becoming.. too... tight.. Sawamura" Kuroko tried to say while gasping for air. Thankfully, Sawamura finally decided to let go.
"It's been so long since we last met! I had to give you a hug!" Sawamura giggled.
Kuroko just smiled. His childhood friend has never changed over the years. He and Sawamura were neighbors before Kuroko moved away. They would always play in the park in front. Even though Kuroko was a shy kid, Sawamura approached him first with the same friendly smile and wide golden eyes. They will play til the sun sets and their mothers had to pick them up.
Finally the train arrived and passengers were trickling in leaving no seats empty.
"Are you riding the same train?" Kuroko asked Sawamura.
