15: Too Late

"Onoda!" Imaizumi shouted as he spotted Onoda passing by. Onoda was carrying a box of materials.

"Oh, Imaizumi!" Onoda shouted cheerfully. It's been a long time since they talked face to face. Onoda being busy with his group project while Imaizumi had been busy with his research paper.

"Need any help?" Imaizumi asked.

"Yes hehe. Thanks Imaizumi," Onoda said sheepishly as he handed him one of the boxes he was carrying.

"Where you headed?" Imaizumi asked.

"Oh just to the art building. Follow me,"Onoda said. As they walked, Imaizumi wanted to make up for lost time.

"Been busy Onoda?" Imaizumi asked. Onoda sighed and nodded. He was stressed and tired but he knew he had to finish this project.

"Is that so... Hey what's up with your friend," Imaizumi asked.

"Who?"

"You know the orange guy," Imaizumi said. He still struggled in remembering the names of Onoda's new friends.

"Oh, Hinata? He's still down in the dumps. And so is Sawamura. It's been really gloomy without their usual attitude," Onoda said.

He wished that his friends will cheer up somehow. But he just didn't know what to do. He only knew Sawamura was going over a heart break. Hinata on the other hand won't tell any of them.

"Kageyama has been worrying over him. I told him to give him some space,"

"Hinata has a lot going on his head," Onoda agreed.

Soon enough, they have reached the building.

"Let me do it, Imaizumi,"Onoda said as he got the box back from Imaizumi.

"Are you sure?" Imaizumi saw that Onoda was struggling. Onoda just smiled.

"It's fine. My groupmates are coming down to help me," Onoda assured Imaizumi.

"Uh okay. See ya Onoda," Imaizumi said but it seems he couldn't move from his spot.

"See ya Imaizumi," Onoda then walked to the entrance making sure to be careful so he won't drop the boxes.

"Onoda!" Imaizumi called out. Onoda turned to look back at Imaizumi.

"Yeah?"

"I..."

I missed you.

Imaizumi couldn't seem to let the words out of his mouth. Onoda cocked his head. He wondered why Imaizumi called him.

"Onoda! Are those the boxes? You need some help?" A group mate interrupted them and Imaizumi lost his chance to say anything else. He just took it as his chance to leave. Onoda struggled to give the boxes to his groupmate.

"A-ah thanks! I'll be with you in a bit. Imaizumi-huh? Imaizumi?" Onoda turned around to see that Imaizumi had left already. Onoda felt a little disappointment. He and Imaizumi had little time to talk left and they didn't go home together these past few days.

"I wonder what he wanted to say...."

The next day, the gang was having lunch together when Onoda noticed 2 missing people.

"Where's Kuroko?" Onoda asked as he takes a seat. Hinata quietly takes a seat beside him.

"Oh Kuroko said he was having lunch with Kagami, his high school friend,"Haruichi said as he sat at their table.

"What about Sawamura?" Onoda asked.

"He still has classes. He texted me,"Haruichi said.

So it was just the three of them today. Hinata hasn't said a word since they got here. Haruichi sighed.
