Lucas.
"Lucas, you scared the life out of me," Arabella screams while struggling to sit up on her float.
"It's what we do best," Brett says, appearing besides me.
"You guys were gone an awful long time just be get pizza rolls," Sadie says relaxing back onto the floating swam.
"Because we basically bought the entire store," Brett laughs looking at me.
"Yeah, we need your help carrying the groceries in," I say as I look down at Arabella.
"What about Mateo and Camila, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help," Arabella whines.
"We tried them," Brett explains, "Camila wouldn't stop flirting with Lucas, Mateo asked too many questions, and Zach almost dropped the good stuff."
Both of the girls' heads pop up at the words good stuff.
"You boys better not have gotten alcohol," Marco Archer says from his seat, hands behind his head, D flat tattoo on display for the world to see.
"No sir, we got all types of candy and junk food," I yell across the pool.
"If you guys would have just said you got candy, I would have got out of the pool the second you guys pulled up," Arabella says rolling off her float.
She swims string even stroke over to Brett and I. Brett leans over as Arabella grabs his forearm, pulling her straight out of the water. She turns and walks to the other end of the pool, drying off with a towel, and wrapping her hair in it.
"How many strings does one bathing suit need," I ask Brett as Arabella holds the inflatable swam still as Sadie climbs off of it.
"I don't know man, I'm surprised Marco let her wear it honestly," he responds as his eyes roam Arabella's.
I hit him hard in the chest as I try to stifle my laughter.
"Dude," Brett exclaims, "what was that for?"
"I can practically smell the lust coming off of you, cool it," I laugh although I am serious. Brett suddenly winces in pain, grabbing his side.
"Yeah, cool it," Mateo says from the other side of Brett, "that's my sister."
"Nice one kid," I say to Mateo although he gives me hateful glare.
"I don't care if you and Arabella made up, I still don't like you," Mateo grunts walking away, "she's deserves a better older brother than you."
"Easy Mateo," Arabella says from behind us, causing us all to spin around.
Mateo mumbles something inaudible under his breath making Arabella raise her eyebrows and cross her arms over her chest.
"I'm sorry, do you want to try that again," she says to the younger Archer.
"I'm sorry for hitting your boyfriend and threatening your demented brother," Mateo mutters once again.
"Brett's not my," Arabella begins before looking to Brett. "Just say your sorry like a man then scram."
"I'm sorry Brett and Lucas," Mateo says before walking away.
"Great," Arabella says before pulling Sadie's wrist.
Arabella hands me her phone and says, "Take a picture of Sadie and I."
"Okay," I agree, tapping the home button of her phone, "what's your password?"
"Her birthday," Sadie blurts out, "it's 07/22."
