My vision finally cleared as I opened my eyes. I sat up and looked around - I am in a cell. My friends are in a cell, and our dragons are... nowhere to be found. I stood up to walk around but suddenly lost balance. Creating a loud bang as I fell, Astrid woke up from the cell opposite to mine."Hiccup...? Are you OK?"
"Yes Astrid," I said, trying to hide the pain in my voice. "I'm fine."
I stood up again, but as same as last time, I tumbled to the ground.
"What? Hiccup! Did you fall?" Astrid asked, sounding worried. I checked my prosthetic to see if it's broken or something. Everything was fine. But when I tried to move my good leg, I can't. I tried again, using more energy this time, and hollered in pain.
"Oh no..." Astrid said, wincing at me. I looked back and forced a smile to my face.
"It's alright. It doesn't hurt."
Astrid smiled back. "You're still a terrible liar," she teased.
"What...What did I miss..." Fishlegs mumbled as he woke up. He looked at Astrid, then at me. "Hiccup! You're alright!" He exclaimed.
"He's not totally alright though," Astrid told Fishlegs. "The man must have broken his leg yesterday. He couldn't walk."
"Oh, Thor. It must hurt," Fishlegs said.
"Nah, I'm fine," I replied.
"He's a terrible liar, isn't he?" Fishlegs whispered to Astrid.
"Yup," she laughed.
"And... Astrid?" I asked, "What happened yesterday?"
"Well, you were knocked out," Fishlegs explained. "The men took us here."
The twins woke up after Fishlegs stopped talking. Sleepily, they walked to Snotlout and realized that he is still sleeping. They smirked at each other.
"Wake up, sleeping beauty..." Ruffnut whispered. Snotlout snored.
"WAKE UP!" Tuffnut shouted into Snotlout's ear. Snotlout woke up in a shock.
As they were having a laugh, a guard came. He looked at me and unlocked my door.
"What do you want from us?" I asked fiercely.
"Come on. Stop pretending to be strong." He laughed.
I stared at the man, trying to figure him out.
"Let's get your leg fixed," he said. "You're going to need it today."
Without warning, he took my leg and pushed the misplaced ankle into the right place. I screamed in pain and almost passed out.
"There you go," he said. "Now come with me."
He dragged me across the prison doors. I couldn't really focus on where we were going since I was still getting used to walking on my painful leg. Then, he threw me outside the door. The door that leads to...
...The arena!? Quickly, I stood up and looked around. The audience laughed when they saw me.
"Look at that tiny boy!"
"What's he here for?"
"We don't need toothpicks!"
(Hmm. That sounded familiar.)
I quickly glanced around the arena, hoping for someone to explain this situation.
What's going to happen next?
