Gingers Point of View
I watched Alice run into the distance knowing that if someone caught her she would die, but also knowing that she had her reasons, she was next in line for Alpha anyways. I grabbed Iris and steered her to the podium, she needed to address the pack and I was not going to let her look like a fool. I looked at Melina meaningfully and she walked with me to stand on either side of our friend, our Luna.
"We are in a state of emergency, I am going to send the children with Melina," she gestured to her," and you Bella and you Josie,'' she picked out two were-women from the crowd who made their way up to her, " They will be safe, there is a bunker under this pack house that would keep our entire pack afloat for three months, it will keep the children safe, meanwhile Ginger and I will take a patrol around the pack house, we will take the strongest fighters and run patrols to keep everyone safe. Luisa?" She pointed to a very pretty Spanish woman who walked up to her, I have seen her many times before. She was the female fighting trainer, she had a long proud nose and high cheekbones, she wandered up onto the stage and looked at Iris with steely gray eyes. I saw that she was not marked like Melina was, she had a tattoo on her shoulder though, it was of a feather that faded into birds flying away. Luisa had a no nonsense attitude and was very strict, and I respected her for that.
"Yes Luna Iris?" she said, looking at Iris with a reverence that I have never seen cross her face before.
"Who are your best fighters? We need them and you assembled outside, waiting on Ginger and I, understand?" Iris's eyes bored into Luisa, who's shoulders slumped under the weight of the Luna's command.
"Yes my Luna." Luisa spun around and sprinted into the crowd yelling orders like a military Sergent.
"Hawthorn! Merrywether! Front and center!" She yelled before she got swallowed into the sea of worried women.
