I watched my best friend taker on three fully grown werewolves at the exact same time. Jasper lunged and swiped, but he never shifted. Patrick and Sean both shifted into unattractive mud and sewer water colored wolves.

"Hes mine!" Emmanuel growled. You could tell that he was the leader of their little three person group, so the other two backed away.

'If only I could shift!' I found myself thinking. 'I could help...' Emmanuel and Jasper both were in their human forms and they seemed like a jumble of swishes and body parts as they fought, Emmanuel slashed and stabbed with his knife and Jasper, fearing for my safety, was dodging it.

"You can't play ballerina forever old man!" Emmanuel growled as Jasper, yet again, twirled out of the way of his knife.

"I don't intend to." Jasper said, staying still. Emmanuel lunged and Jasper took hold of the arm without the knife and, bringing his elbow up, snapped the joint. Emmanuel howled in agony and Patrick whimpered. Emmanuel slashed and his knife found purchase in Jasper's arm. Bleeding, Jasper backed away a few steps. His yellow eyes began to glow and he brought his old, weathered hands above his head. Wind whipped throughout the room, the mirror on the wall shattered and Sean whimpered. Pieces of glass flew everywhere, Emmanuel readied his knife and I grabbed a piece of the fallen glass and jumped onto his back, I drove the shard as far as I possibly could into his shoulder and he screamed. Jasper continued to whip the air about and suddenly slashes appeared on Emmanuel, deep cuts with no origin, bleeding. I realized that Jasper was going to kill him with the air.

"JASPER!" I screamed, for I was falling off and I knew Emmanuel would kill me when he wrenched me from his back. Jasper's head snapped in my direction and his eyes stopped glowing and the wind stilled around me. Emmanuel was still bucking and I dug my nails into his back and hung on for dear life. I heard Emmanuel yell and he pulled me off of his back by my hair and as he wrenched the glass from his shoulder I shut my eyes, a warm tear falling down my cheek. I was so sure I was going to die, and as I felt the sharp edge caress my throat I heard Jasper scream.
