>I must admit doing Jax's POV was awesome but very difficult! I found myself constantly switching it up and making it Phee's POV for a few sentences. Hopefully I fixed all of that and chapter 6 should only be in Jax's POV. If I messed up, and I'm sure I have, please tell me if I mixed up Jax and Phee when they were talking and thinking. Thank you!<
>Phoenix's POV< (everything is back to normal!)
"To defeat the Huns." I smirked. I couldn't help myself! I'm a Disney fan all the way! And when I hear things that remind me of my one true love and obsession I can't be accountable for my actions.
Jax chuckled and pulled me with him following Genevieve. She was leading us to the back. Genevieve could actually be leading us to our death. Jax and I easily trusted her. And she could be like a serial killer or something.
"Relax." Jax whispered into me ear. I take a relaxing deep breath and nod. I can do this. We can do this. We aren't being led to our death. Even though she could totally kill us and no one would know. Wow, these are my thoughts. I'm a very depressing person. Eh, I already knew that.
Genevieve stopped in her tracks and told us to wait for her and that she'd be right back. Jax held my hands. His were cold. I remember being told by my mom that if someone's hand is cold then they are really caring and nice. That explains my Jax down to a T. Wait! My Jax? What's wrong with me!? Snap out of it Phee! You and Jax are best friends forever and nothing more!!
Jax looked down at our conjoined hands and kissed mine. "What's on your mind?" He asked. I shrugged. Before he could ask anything else Genevieve showed back up with a huge box.
"Your father stopped by here not to long after you were born Phoenix." Genevieve said holding up the box than setting it on the table beside us. "I'm sure you have questions ..." she said.
I didn't know where to start. "Why you?" Jax asked. Leave it to him to be the first to ask a question for me.
She smiled softly understanding my overwhelming confusion, "your father came to me two months after you were born, telling me that you would come to me after your sixteen birthday. He asked me to keep something for you until you came."
"Why you?" I finally asked. "Why couldn't my mom give me these?"
She sighed, "your father told me that he knew your mother would have moved on and found someone else because he left leaving both of you. He knew she would have burned everything." She chuckled the last part.
"Do you know where my father is leading me?" I asked with Jax holding onto my shoulders. I think if he wasn't holding me I would have dropped to the floor.
"No ... I am sorry Phoenix. Your father didn't tell me that much." She told me. "But I can tell you about him ..." she offered.
"Please?" I asked unsure.
She pulled out a chair for all of us. "Vylad was a very handsome man. And I could tell he loves your mother from day one. He cared for her deeply and you too. He talked about you and your mother the last day I heard from him. He wanted me to tell you that he loves you so much Phoenix but he couldn't stay because he couldn't let you get hurt ...? I don't know what he means by that but he wanted you to know that he didn't want to leave you and your mother." Genevieve said. I couldn't say anything so I just nodded.
"What was he like?" Jax asked.
"He was a real gentleman. He made me believe in true love and that's how I met my husband. He had beautiful eyes that showed everything about his personality but never told you how he felt. He wanted the best for your mother, Phoenix. He helped her get a house, a real good job, he helped her move closer to her family down in the south, and was there for her when she told him she was pregnant." Genevieve answered. I stayed silent soaking in this new information.
"You said that he speaked weird? What did you mean by that?" Jax asked.
"For one he had a strange accent. And he said thing weird. He was really proper. And sometimes he seemed like he was dazed. Like he wasn't really here and I'd here him speaking another language." Genevieve answered.
"Phoenix ... sweetie at are you okay?" Genevieve asked me.
"Yeah I'm fine ..." I answered.
"I think this is enough. Come on Phoenix lets go. Thank you Genevieve." Jax said helping me up and grabbing the thing she gave me.
"Yes of course, good luck Phoenix!! I hope you find what you're looking for!" Genevieve said as we walked out. Jax held me up and took me to the hotel. When we got back inside I laid down on the bed. Jax placed the box on the dresser and laid beside me.
"You wanna look in the box?" Jax asked.
"No not yet. I just want to lay down and sleep." I told him. Jax nodded and pulled me to his chest cuddling. I rested my head on his chest listening to his heart slowly falling asleep.
I was in a dark room. There was no light. I wouldn't have been worried if a lady in a dark cloak appeared. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Like a ... goddess. One thing I noticed was the single gold necklace that held a single ring like a wedding band. Then i heard her speak. "Sweet Phoenix you truly look like your father. To bad you won't ever get to meet him." She raised her hand and snapped. Beast, the size of bears that resembled wolves who were black as a raven but had red streaks running through their fur. Their eyes resembled the vampires from that stupid Twilight series. They ran at me. One jumped in the air, the leader, aiming for me. I couldn't move. Just as he was about to land I felt a hard bump.
