Ray was 28, you were 22. Not much of a difference, not much of a deal. You guys were happy together so it didn't make a difference right? Wrong. The amount of hate you received on a daily basis was horrible. At first it really did get to you and now it didn't really bother you. The most part of your hater fan base were twelve year old's and jealous fan girls. It might not have upset you, but it didn't make Ray happy. You were sat on the couch whilst Ray was in the shower and you were scrolling through social media, many hateful comments caught you eye. You were gonna respond to some.

Ray eventually came down the stairs and sat down next to you with his phone in his hand. He had seen the responses you had given to the haters.
"You know Y/N, I'm proud of you for keeping your head up through all of this negativity." Ray rested his head on your lap. You placed a kiss on his forehead.
"I can't let it get to me babe, I'm happy with myself, my career, my friends and most importantly you. Whether it's six or sixteen years apart, I fell for you and I love you, they can't stop my feelings and they shouldn't affect yours either." You smiled placing your phone onto the side of the couch.
"Truthfully, it does hurt me sometimes because it's just so cruel and mean. I know we both get sent hurtful messages, but I couldn't agree more with you." Ray smiled up at you.
"One day I'm gonna marry you, you know?" You told him.
"That day will be the best day of my life. Screw the haters baby, we've got each other and the real fans and that's all I need in life to keep me happy."
