That time of year had once again come around again, and you couldn't deny that it was definitely your favorite time. This time around, it was going to mark your 8th Christmas with Kade and it got better every year. Presents were already under the tree but the tree was the only decoration up so far and tonight you guys were gonna put all of the other decorations up.
"Whilst you were at Jake's, I got the rest of the decorations out of the garage." Kade's face lit up at the familiar boxes he had seen in previous years.
"Lemme put the festive music on and we can start." Kade screamed like a kid going to connect his phone to the sound system. All I Want For Christmas faintly played in the background as you two started.
"How about we put some tinsel up the stair rail?" Kade suggested, you nodded and he began twisting it on the rail making sure it would stay there and not come off. You on the other hand, placed all of the Christmas ornaments on the fireplace and on the window ledges.
"Babe whose doing the wreath on the front door?" You asked him, turning around you saw that he was already doing it, making you laugh. He got so excited doing things like this. The whole putting lights on the outside of the house was something you guys stopped doing because last year when you were decorating, in the middle of the night, the lights all fell down and smashed outside so you swore you'd never do it again.
"I know we said no lights outside Y/N, but inside is a whole other story." Kade grinned walking over to you whilst you rearranged the presents under the tree.
"Go for it babe, we only get to do this once a year." You smiled, standing up next to him.
"Before I do, it's about time I gave you an early present." He whispered reaching down and kissing you, he placed his hands on either side of your waist as yours curled in his hair. It turned into a full make-out session in the middle of your living room, but you pulled away leaving Kade confused.
"Honey, we have a house to decorate, get a move on!" You declared taking the lights out of the box and placing them neatly in different places of the bottom floor of the house.
"We're such kids, but I guess that's why we were made for each other." Kade laughed hugging you from behind, admiring the efforts you two had put into the house.
"Match made in heaven." You giggled.
