It was Friday night and like every other Friday night, you were chilling on your couch, home alone, binge watching Netflix with a tub of Ben and Jerry's in hand. A week of working hard had come to and end and you were glad you could have some time to yourself. Your parents were away on a business trip and your sisters were on vacation so it left you alone. It scared the life of out of you when the front door started rapidly knocking. Taking precaution, you grabbed your slipper and headed to the front of the house. Slowly opening the door, you were ready to attack but then you saw it was your best friend Alex.
"I thought you were a kidnapper." You groaned putting your slipper back on your foot and allowing him to come in.
"Kidnappers wouldn't knock the door and I'm pretty sure a slipper isn't the best defense mechanism." He laughed.
"Whatever." You rolled your eyes. Truth is you had gained a crush on Alex throughout the years, but he never knew, you definitely didn't want to ruin the perfect friendship for one stupid feeling.
"So, the reason I'm here. I sorta kinda need your help." He scratched the back of his head.
"With what exactly?" You asked not wanting it to be what you thought.
"I need help with what to wear on a date." And that was the bombshell. Your stomach dropped and a frown appeared on your face.
"Figure it out on your own." You mumbled putting the lid back on your ice cream. Alex looked confused, of course he would, he had no idea how you truly felt about him.
"All I asked was help with an outfit, I've got to look good for our date." Your eyes widened, you weren't sure if you heard him correctly.
"A date with me?" You asked, cheeks slowly becoming red.
"Yes you silly. Marcel told me you liked me and well I've liked you for ages, I just didn't want to ruin what we had, but I figured you'd like to come out with me tonight." Alex grinned, you didn't know what to say but you clung your arms around him.
"It's about freaking time Lange, you had me fooled for a second there!"
