As we approached the warehouse I learned who's party we were attending. G-Dog.

Carl knocked on the large metal door and it quickly slid open to reveal what Carl had said: a real party. There was booze, drugs, and about 300 people there. After learning who G-Dog was, I'd say this was a party for his dealers and customers.

"Carl you made it, and you brought some friends" an older man said.

"Yeah what's up G-Dog this is Nick and Blair" he responded putting on his best tough guy accent.

"Blair. What a pretty name" he said touching my hair.

"Uh um thank you" I said trying to pull myself away from his hands. Carl was uncomfortable as well because I felt his arm come around my waist for protection.

"We'll catch up later and talk about Nick joining" Carl said and pulling me and Nick away from G-Dog and towards the table covered in bottles.

I felt myself loosen up after my first drink of the night. This is what I needed. I hadn't done a lot of drinking when I was with my aunt, due to her being much more strict than my father. Sometimes I feel bad about resenting her because I know that she actually cared about my well being, that's why she was harsh. But I don't need her to care about me anymore, I'm back with my real family, not my father, but the Gallaghers. I was hoping Pat would turn around after his time, but after his curfew joke I don't think anything has changed.

Another drink in and I was feeling warm.

"Wanna dance?" Carl asked me over the loud music blaring from the speakers. I hadn't even noticed Nick walked off with some other people because of how lost in thought I was.

"Sur-" before I could even finish my word, Carl was pulling me toward the very large group of adults and teenagers dancing.

He held my hands up and started dancing really badly. He's never been a good dancer thought despite his constant attempts to dance. I just laughed at him until I was hysterical and on the floor. That's how Carl could tell I was drunk, I laugh hysterically at everything until i'm in tears. He continued to dance just so that I would give out a loud obnoxious laugh.

We must've been there for a couple hours because I looked through the window and it was already dark out.

"What time is it?" I asked Carl.

"11:47" He replied.

"That's so late!" I laughed. I definitely had too much to drink.

"I should get you home soon" Carl sighed looking at the state I was in.

At midnight we finally departed from the warehouse party after finding Nick. When we got back to my house Carl came inside with me, but Nick preferred to wait outside, which I thought was strange.

It took me longer than it should've to get up the stairs and Carl refused to help me, he just laughed.

Finally I made it to my bed and he pulled my shoes off for me and pulled my blanket over me. He began walking back out the door.

"I want you to stay" I called to him. I would've never said this sober, I was always embarrassed to ask him for comfort because he always put on a tough act.

"I gotta get Nick back to my house. Another night Ill stay, I promise" And with that he left my room.

I waited until I heard him close the front door before I finally closed my eyes and drifted to sleep. Only to be awakened by the headache the next morning.
