Hospital Trips

Sherwin's POV

I woke up in pain.

What happened? Where am I?

I looked around

I'm in the nurses office.

I saw Jonathan. He was crying, a lot. The last thing I saw was someone punching the blonde kid that hurt me. I was guessing it was Jonathan. I tried calling for Jonathan but no words would come out. I finally found my words and called for him.

"J-Jonathan.....b-baby..." I whimpered. He stopped crying immediately and ran over to me.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. I should've been with you. I love you so much. I'm so sorry." He cried

"i-its...oka-" I felt a sharp pain near my ribs. I was having a hard time breathing. I screamed in pain

"Sherwin, sweetheart. We have to take you to the hospital, you have a broken rib." The nurse explained

"o-okay...." I replied quietly

I was scared. The nurse went to another room and began to talk to a doctor from the hospital.

"How do you feel?" Jonathan asked. I groaned. His face softened and a frown appeared.

"Kiss." I commanded. He giggled. He didn't hesitate but he carefully kissed me. It hurt, but it was worth the pain.

"I love you..." I slurred. I was getting really tired.

"I love you too baby." Jonathan whispered and kissed a not-cut part of my cheek.

I woke up in the hospital. We weren't in the emergency room, we were in a fairly large doctors office. I looked around at the posters. The doctor walked into the room.

"Hello Sherwin, we've examined you and it looks like you have a broken rib. We have to give you medicine to help stop the pain. As for the cuts, we've cleaned them, they should be healed very soon. It does appear that you have a swollen eye, which means you might have a black eye for a few days." He explained. "Your rib should heal in no time. Just give it a little time and you'll be back to normal, you'll just have some pain."

I nodded.

"Your mom and...boyfriend?" I nodded. He nodded. "Are here." I nodded again. It was too hard to speak, I couldn't get as much air as usual.

I got up and a sharp pain went through my entire body. I groaned.

This is going to be painful.

The doctor gave me ice. I held it on the painful area.

"Thank you." I said

I sighed and walked out the door. Jonathan came running up to me and kissed my cheek. I giggled.

"I guess we're going to have to have even more cuddle time!" He giggled.

My face felt hot. I was blushing like crazy, but it was true. I wanted him to take care of me.

We didn't go back to school, we went to my house. Jonathan carried me inside to my room. He put me down gently in my bed.

"Don't worry. I'm not leaving you." He whispered. He kissed my forehead and laid down with me. I snuggled up even closer than before and put my head on his chest. He stroked my hair. Suddenly, a sharp pain went through my body and I screamed.

"WHATS WRONG?!" Jonathan yelled

I whimpered and groaned. I tried talking but I couldn't breathe. I pointed to the medication that the doctor gave me. Jonathan quickly got up and ran to grab the medicine. My face was turning red from the lack of air. He grabbed a water bottle and came back to me. I took the water first. The water helped. I took the medicine next, the pain immediately stopped. I was able to breathe again.

That was close.

Jonathan's POV

I was worried about Sherwin. He was a mess. I kept thinking about those kids that put him in this much pain. I was enraged. I had a lot of words for them once they came back to school.

I have to stay with Sherwin as much as I can.

I was going to be overprotective but I didn't have a choice, it was for his safety.

"Are you okay Jonathan?" Sherwin asked with concern. I just nodded, I was so angry. I looked Sherwin in the eyes and sighed. I began to tear up, I couldn't believe this happened.

I started crying like a baby.

"Jonathan, what's wrong?" Sherwin asked.

"I...don't want them...to hurt you...again" I cried.

"They won't hurt me again, I'm pretty sure you sent them a very clear message." He chuckled. Sherwin hugged me tightly. I knew that it hurt him like crazy.

"Sherwin, please don't hug me. I don't want you to hurt yourself. I can tell your in pain." I muttered and looked down.

"I don't care about that Jonathan, I only care about you. I want you to be okay. I want to make you feel better." He said sweetly. I looked up, he wiped my tears away. I smiled.

"I love you" I chuckled.

"I love you too" He giggled and tapped my nose.

I kissed his cheek. He was too sweet, I loved it. We sat down on his bed and I grabbed his hand. We sat there in silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company. I leaned down a little and put my head on his shoulder. I instantly fell asleep.

Sherwin's POV

Once Jonathan put his head onto my shoulder, he was out. He was sleeping so peacefully. I giggled once I saw his mouth was open.

I sat there just looking at him for a while, but I eventually fell asleep too.

I woke up. Jonathan was gone and I was in my bed covered up. I slowly got out of bed, feeling sore every time I moved. I walked to my bathroom and looked into the mirror. I was a mess. I had a swollen black eye now and little scars and bruises all over my body. My anxiety destroyed all of my confidence. I teared up looking at my broken self. I lifted my shirt a little and saw a huge black and blue mark around my rib cage. I gasped, I looked terrible. I started crying wishing that Jonathan was here to comfort me. I looked around looking for a note or something from Jonathan. I found a note on my dresser. It read:

I'm sorry that you had to wake up without me. My mom wanted me to come home. As much as I didn't want to, I had to obey my mother's orders. Will I see you at school tomorrow? I hope you'll come so I can kiss every freckle on your face. I wish I could still be with you, I wish I could be there to comfort you and take care of you.

I love you so much

I sighed. I went back to bed, wishing that I had Jonathan's arms wrapped around me.
