The sky went dark.

All the Vampires, and the Bitten's froze on the battlefield and we all looked up into the sky. Clouds suddenly blocked the morning sun and the darkness clouded over the entire city. Lightning crackled suddenly, but it didn't feel as though it was natural. In fact, it gave me this familiar feeling. But it wasn't a pleasant one.

"What's going on?" I ask Del beside me.

She was searching the clouds, and she says, "Magic. Dark magic."

Magic? Now that wasn't something I fought yet. I had a feeling swords and arrows weren't going to do much good against someone who uses magic.

From the clouds, a figure formed. Materializing out of thin air seemingly and slowly, the clouds seemed to lower her. In any other case, this would seem angelic, and almost godly, but now, with the dark clouds, lightning, and feeling of dread, it just made my stomach churn uncomfortably.

The mysterious woman had a mask covering over half of her face, so all I could see was her eyes. Her hair was spiky and blown back. She was clad in this cloak, with this fur on her back. Her arms were held out as she lowered herself to the ground slowly.

All the Guards seemed frozen and I was no different.

"A Wizard," Del says, and I could hear the danger in her voice. The warning tone.

I felt something when I heard that word. Deep in my gut. And then I heard a voice in my head.

Feel it. You have to feel it.

The air was thick, dense, with this strange feeling. A feeling that I did not like at all. It was cold, unforgiving. It reminded me of the Darkness. How it felt when Riley was taken.

The woman split the crowd in two and in the center of the crowd, she stood. Nobody approached, and nobody moved. Even the Bitten's remained frozen, in some kind of trance-like state.

The woman in the mask began to circle around, searching the crowd, looking at everyone around her. "Well, well," she said, "this is the Elysian House school for Vampires, is it?"

Three black SUV's screeched to a halt on the curb of the school and out came Skylar, with several more Vampires in Guard's uniforms.

"Stop right there!" Skylar shouts. "You will not move."

She turns, and when she sees Skylar, she tosses her head back and laughs. "No man and no Vampire can stop a Wizard, my lady. We are the supreme of all beings."

"Del, what do we do?" I questioned the tall Amazon, hoping she might have some kind of words of advice, but instead of offering anything useful, she stared. She stared blankly up at the dark cloud hovering in the sky.

"Leave, Wizard," Skylar ordered. "You have no business here."

"Actually," she says, pointing his finger. "I'm simply looking for a friend. An old friend. I heard she was reborn in the next life and I was curious." She shrugged her shoulders and swished her hand up into the air and caused the dark cloud above her head to vanish. "So... I've just got one question, where is Styx?"

My heart dropped when Del looked back at me, eyes wide, as if she wanted me to tell her who this girl was, but I had no idea. From behind me, I spotted Olivia and Red staring, mouths open wide. Ricky was standing between them, appearing very stoic and still, she probably already knew who this girl was and what she wanted.

But nobody else knew who I was. Nobody knew Styx was reincarnated, or even who she was anyway. Styx was left out of the history books to cover up the human-Vampire relationship, which was against the law.
