The Bittens invaded Elysian House from every direction, breaking through windows and doors. Even though I was still exhausted from the fight before, I knew I couldn't spend too much time dwelling over it. I had to get moving, or get eaten.

Arthur and I made a beeline for the exit and when we entered the hall, I saw that more Bittens had invaded and the windows of the school all began to shatter as we were invaded from all angles.

Shards of glass littered the floor and we both lowered our heads to cover our faces from the scratches.

It was a horrid sight to see my school being submerged with white hair and pale skin.

"We gotta go," Arthur said to me, keeping his voice low.

He was right.

Together, we rushed down the halls, avoiding any Bittens that came running our way.

Suddenly, I heard my name being yelled and when I looked, I saw Red come rushing down the hall, his face bloodied and his sword dripping. He was gasping for air as he ran to us. "They've come. Snow is here, she's going to take down the whole city with the Darkness!"

I felt my stomach drop as I rushed over to the window and peered outside, to see the dark clouds hovering above the city and then I spotted the dark figure on the street.

Snow was, indeed, here. She was going to settle this once and for all.

Standing all around her were the wolves, snapping their jaws and snarling eagerly.

Jenna was there, too, and I could see she was smirking, hand on her hip, looking up into the sky, and closing her eyes, as if the dark clouds brought her some sort of comfort.

Damn. So we have Snow, the strongest Vampire ever, a Witch, and the Darkness?

This was not looking good for us.

"Have Riley and the others returned yet?" I asked, remembering that Del was probably still in South America still, which I was kind of glad for. If I was going to get slaughtered, I didn't want her to get slaughtered with me.

"I have no clue," Red said, clearly very worried himself. "The Counts have all gathered their men, and we're trying to secure the school against Snow."

Arthur straightened his back and placed his hand on mine. "I need to go get my men ready. We will protect the school at all costs."

I nodded my head, but kept my eyes on the dark figure lingering on the street. I couldn't see her very well from here, but there was something off about her.

Still, I couldn't waste my time trying to figure it out. I turned to Red. "Since Winter is gone, Red, I need you to get the Royal Guards ready. We need to keep the school safe until Riley and the others return."

"Yes, ma'am," Red took off, down the hall and out of view.

I turned back to the window again, narrowing my eyes on the enemy I've been waiting for months to face. Snow needed to die, and she was going to, or the world would burn.

I took in a deep breath and turn to run down the hall.

Riley

I heard a kaboom, and then suddenly, the ground beside me split in a crater and several bodies come smashing into the ground with it. I reached for Pereus, thinking I'd need to fight Snow right away. But when the smoke faded, I saw Del on her knees, with Winter and that human girl sprawled on the ground.
