Jenna was not going to let Del and I off easily.

The walls were knocked down, pulverized and completely destroyed every time Del and I felt that we were safe.

She was a powerful Witch, that was for sure and it made her to be a very powerful opponent. I could only hope that wherever we ended up, we would make it out okay.

Each time, though, Jenna was getting closer and closer to destroying us completely and I was growing concerned for Del's health.

Whatever happened while she was away was taking a physical toll on her. I could tell by how reliant she was on me at times. She was slipping easier, leaning into me more after each passing second. She was letting her guard down and I swear, she was falling asleep on her feet. I could tell she was exhausted and while I wished I could tuck her into bed and sing her a lullaby until she felt better, I could do nothing but continue to push her to escape.

A slam sounded somewhere in the school and Del and I remained with our backs pressed against the wall. I ducked my head down to look around the corner, but I found nothing but a vacant hallway.

"Okay, we're good, let's go," I whispered and moved to start running, but Del remained standing against the wall. Her tired eyes looked at me, and she held her arm out to me slowly.

I quickly moved under her outstretched arm and wrapped my arm around her torso as she leaned heavily into me and allowed me to help her down the hall.

I've never known Del to ask anybody for help, so to see her like this genuinely frightened me. I didn't know why she was suddenly so drained of energy, but I didn't like it.

As Del and I entered the auditorium, and raced down the aisle, toward the stage, we heard the door behind us slam open and crash.

Jenna stood in the debris and smoke, with a smirk on her face. Her eyes were alive with power and I was very wary of the look in them.

"There you are!" She cried out, gleefully and a light burst out at us. Del pulled me into the seats, and we somehow managed to evade the attack.

It smacked right into the stage, and blowing up with a loud boom.

We kept our heads lowered as we raced away and out of sight, ducking down into the stairwell that led up to the higher seats in the auditorium.

Jenna cackled. "You guys do really well with hiding from me, I'll give you that. But even if you evade my direct blasts, I already have one of you in my grip."

I was about to ask what the hell she meant by that, when I heard Del start coughing beside me and she slipped down to her knees. She looked worse than ever before and I grabbed her, worriedly.

"Del?" I whispered, holding her beautiful face in my palms. Her eyes were turning colorless, and her face was becoming so pale.

This wasn't an average illness, or exhaustion. Something was wrong.

"What did you do?" I said, and then louder again. "What did you do?!"

Jenna continues laughing, knowingly. "I told you, stupid! I win, you lose. While your little Amazon was fighting me back in South America, she thought she escaped unharmed. Well, unfortunately for her, while she was escaping me, I managed to put a little charm on her. It would go completely unnoticed until the effects would take place."

"What charm?" I called out, as I helped Del lay herself down on the ground. I swept her dark hair back to look into her nearly cloudy eyes. She wasn't even looking at me, anymore, just staring into nothingness. It scared me how expressionless she looked. She looked like...
