"Are we there yet?" Freesia complained, her legs aching. Surprisingly, the arena was a long way away... "Why couldn't we just go onto one of those Transportation Pokemon all the way back there? That'd be much easier." the Kirlia kept on wailing.

"Sometimes you just need to toughen it out." Sundew mumbled. "You won't always have someone there to help you." the Skiddo replied snarkily.

"Yes, but right now we do, so why can't we just make them useful?" she snapped angrily.

"Oh stop your complaining, we'll be there soon enough anyway." Sundew rolled her eyes.

"Are you telling me that you've lived your whole life here without thinking about just going onto some type of underground-tribe-train-thingy or riding a Archeops across the globe? Pfft!" Freesia exclaimed, crossing her arms.

"No, I have other goals." Sundew mumbled. "And soon enough you'll have more goals too.. At least I hope.." she muttered the last few words.

"What about a Lapras? Have you ever even ridden one of those before?" Freesia sighed.

"NO and I don't want to talk about those creatures." the Skiddo snapped.

"What do you have against-" suddenly, the Kirlia bumped into a huge, bulky Machamp.

"Oh, hey there." the Machamp wheezed friendlily. "I'm Kudu. You must be Freesia. And..." he seemed to shiver with fear as his gaze wandered over to the Skiddo. "Sundew... Welcome, buddy? Pal? Friend? Hehehe... Uh... Erm... What d-do you two want from h-here...?" Kudu stuttered fearfully.

"The new one needs to prove her worth," Sundew motioned to Freesia.

"Oh! Yes! Of course! Go right ahead!" he said, frantically. Then, he grabbed a megaphone and yelled into it. "A NEW POKEMON TO PROVE HERSELF WORTHY IS IN THE ARENA! COME QUICK!" he shouted. Soon enough, Pokemon came, riding on the Transportation Pokemon.

"You didn't tell me that we were gonna be watched?!" Freesia hissed between her teeth.

"Well of course? Who wouldn't watch this?" Sundew retorted. "Just try to imagine they aren't hoping you lose. I mean, I don't think they would, but if you think that.." Sundew continued to ramble. As they made their way into the hole, atop the throne came a Gardevoir with a Gallade settling down beside it, on the other throne. Between them sat a shiny Ralts on a tiny, blue throne. They all had crowns that sparkled freely in the daylight, and the small prince giggled, glancing down noticeably at Freesia. The queen whispered something unhearable to the king, and they nodded at each other. Slowly, the crowd of Pokemon on the bleachers quieted down as the Machamp returned.

"Ladies and Gentlemon, Females and Males, may I represent you to the second Promised One of this week... Freesia!" he stepped back, smiling and showing a hand at the terrified Kirlia, whom had a small case of stage-fright.

"And the Promised One's guide or assistant..." another drumroll. "Sundew!" He showed a hand at the brave and confident-looking Skiddo. There were claps of excitement, this time a few whistles from the crowd.

"And without further ado, let the fight..." he jumped to the top of the arena, beside the royal family. "Begin!" Too scared and shaken to move, Freesia decided her move carefully. Little did she know, it was too late, for the Skiddo was dashing at her with a Leaf Blade.

"Agh!" The Kirlia was hit on the arm. The crowd cheered for Sundew. Though she knew it wouldn't have that much strength, she used Magical Leaf. It was flung at the Skiddo, and her ability, Trace, activated, copying her ability. She then used Lucky Chant so she wouldn't faint so soon like a weakling. Panting, she wondered if she should attack or just wait for Sundew. The crowd roared in a mixture of emotions, in the meanwhile. After a few moments, Sundew decided to use Double-Edge. Getting hit easily by it, the Kirlia glared at ther and then used Disarming Voice, almost breaking the crowd and Sundew's eardrums. Sundew flinched, then reluctantly used Horn Leech in hope to recover her lost Hp.

"Owch!" The Kirlia wailed, feeling her energy slowly dripping away. She used another Disarming Voice, followed by a Confusion.

Sundew stumbled over for a moment, it seemed as she was going to faint, but she got up again and huffed. She waited for a moment, and used Rockslide. Freesia jumped over them with ease, ignoring the pain in her back as she once again used Confusion. A wave of a ghostly purple wall blasted against the Skiddo.

Sundew once again flinched, muttering "Why is her psychic so strong...?" before using another weak rockslide. This time, she jumped over all of the rocks except for two and used Disarming Voice. Sundew once again flinched, probably thankful she didn't use Confusion this time. She charged at her with a leaf blade instead of continuing to spam rockslide.

"Grah!" Midway, the Kirlia grabbed the Skiddo's arm and swung her around. She threw her towards the other side of the arena, a large wall of Confusion chasing after poor Sundew.

Sundew glanced at her for a moment after being hit, then fainted. "Aaaand we have our winner!" The Machamp entered the pit once again, stuffing a Oran Berry inside of the 'loser's' mouth. "And now, Freesia, you are welcome into our tribe!" The crowd cheered. They sang. They whistled. The Kirlia smiled a bit, still a bit worried about her friend, even though she was slowly recovering right on the spot. Her ability wore off, and the Kirlia soon forgot the ability 'Sap Sipper'. Then, as the night came, she entered her den and fell asleep.
