*Karley's POV*

I slip on my northface and my brown uggs. I grab my phone, and head down the stairs to go to Michaela's.

"Hey mom, I'm going to Michaela's!" I say, before I walk out the door. I do even bother waiting for her reply, and I walk down the steps out into the California sunshine. I walk down the sidewalk at a normal pace. I pull out my phone to send Michaela a quick text.

*On my way over, see ya later!*

Michaela replies instantly.

*Yayyy!!!!! :)*

I chuckle to myself at how excited she is, and continue walking down the sidewalk, since Michaela only lives a few blocks away. I finally reach Michaela's house and I knock on the door. Her mom answers and tells me to go up to her room. I smile at her and head up.

I barge into her room, not really bothering to knock. I walk over to her bed and plop down next to her.

"Hey!" I say excitedly. "Hi," she replies, without her usual charisma. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "Karley, you know what's wrong. Your leaving, and I don't want you to leave." She says with tears brimming in her eyes.

"Michaela, I'm sorry. I don't want to leave either, but my mom has no choice. It's her job. I promise I will never forget you, and you'll always be my best friend." I say, in an attempt to console my best friend.

"I know Karley. I know you have no choice. Just promise me that you will keep in touch. Okay?" She asks me with hope in her eyes.

"Of course Michaela. I promise." I say with a smile. She pulls me into a hug, and then we just enjoy being together.

At around 7:00 pm, I tell Michaela I have to go. I have to finish packing for England. I really don't want to go. I'm going to miss it here so much. I'm on my way to hell.
