*Karley's POV*

This morning, I woke up to my alarm. My mom was at work, and I was meeting her at the boarding school at 11:30, and it was currently 7:00, so I decided to make breakfast. It tromped down the stairs and into the kitchen. I got the ingredients to make waffles and I cut up strawberries to put on top. I also piled whipped cream on top. I are my breakfast while watching tv. I contemplated on messaging Michaela, but I decided I would once I'm settled in my dorm. I finish my breakfast and head upstairs to take a shower. I finish and when I get out, it's 9:00. I open the door to my room and decide on wearing by light blues skinny jeans, a purple t-shirt, and a white blazer. I put in my purple flower earrings and I curl my hair. I apply foundation, mascara, and light purple eye shadow. Once I feel somewhat satisfied that I will make a good impression, I call my mom.

She picks up on the second ring. "Hey mom.", I say when she answers. "Hi Karley. Are you ready for boarding school?", my mother asks. I sigh, "Yes mom I'm ready." I can practically see the smile on her face when she says "Great! See you at 11:30!" I laugh and say "Bye mom!"

I hang up and wait around until I have to leave. I'm quite nervous to be going to a new school. I have no idea how I will make new friends. What if I embarrass myself? I hope I fit in, but it's not likely.

I walk to the boarding school, and meet my mother in front of the main office. "Karley! Are you excited?", my mother asks. "Yeah, I'm just nervous, I might not fit in.", I say. "You will honey. I already got you registered and I have to head back to work.", my mother says as I nod. "Okay, see you on holidays and all of that.", I say, irritation ringing through. "Bye Karley. I'm going to miss you so much! I love you.", my mother says while pulling me in for a hug. Despite being mad at her, I hug her back tightly.

I turn and walk into the building. As I am about to walk into the office to get my schedule, someone bumps into me. My luggage goes everywhere and I land on my back, hard. "Ow.", I say when I try to get up. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention, and I just, are you okay?", I hear a thick British accent say as a hand is extended for me to take. I'm pulled up and am met with deep chocolate brown eyes.
