"I'm Nothing Without You" || A Starco fanfic [COMPLETED]

10: Day 1

Marco's POV
Even though Star is going to leave soon, I'll ask her a big question.
"Hey Star, you ready?" I called to her.
"Yeah! How's the food?" She said.
"Almost done!"

When Star got downstairs, she looked inside the basket.
"Oooh! Did you make all of this by yourself?" She said.
"Of course!" I told her.

I looked back at my mom and my dad.
My dad winked at me while my mom gave me a thumbs up.
"Let's go?" I said.
"Yep!"

"Have fun guys!" My mom said.
"Bye!" Star said, while closing the door.
The park wasn't that far from my house, so it was a short walk.

When we got there, I set up the blanket in a large, grassy area.
Star opened up the basket.
She took a sandwich and took a bite.
"Aw man, this sandwich is really good!" She said, smiling.
I gave her a nice grin.
"Hey Star, let's have a little drawing contest." I said, as I passed her a piece of paper and some markers.
"Why?" She asked.
"Why not?" I told her.
"Okay, so whoever can draw each other the best, wins!"

"Ooh, okay!" I saw Star scribble on the piece of paper already.
This was just all for me to ask Star the question.
I wrote down:
"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Hey Star, done?" I said.
"Yep!"
"Okay, we show each other in 3.."
"2.."
"1.."

Star flipped hers, and I flipped mine.
I saw a little drawing of me walking the laser puppies.
Star's eyes widened and dropped her paper and markers.
"Oh.. my gosh!" She practically yelled.
"So?"
"Yes!" She went up and hugged me.
I laughed and hugged her back.

Star's POV
I can't believe it! Today has been awesome. But I'm leaving in 3 days. I hope I can make it the best 3 days of my life with him.

"You wanna act like we are 6 years old again on the playground?" I told him.
"Of course!"
We both went up and took turns to push each other on the swings.
Then we decided to a obstacle course on the play set.

After a while of running around, Marco went under the slides and sat down.
"I'm beat." He said, as he was wiping away sweat from his head.
I giggled.
"You wanna go get some frozen yogurt now?" I asked him.
"Yeah! Let's go."
While we were walking there with the big basket, Marco decided to hold my hand.
It was unexpected, so I looked up at him and blushed.
The sun was slowly setting down when we went inside.

I decided to get 3 flavors in one cup, and Marco did the same.
Then, we added toppings and went to go pay.
We decided to eat outside where it was more peaceful.
As we were watching the sky slowly drift colors, Marco said, "You having fun?"
"Of course!" I smiled at him.

"Well, day 1/3 is complete." He said.
"I don't want to leave you, though." I told him.
"I don't want to live without you too, but I want you to be safe. I'd rather know that you're safe in Mewni than here because I don't want you to get hurt again." He told me.

I smiled at him.
"Thanks for looking for me."

When we were done with our frozen yogurt, we walked all the way back home, hand in hand.

"Hey mom! We're home!" Marco said.
"Hey guys! How was your picnic?" Mr. Diaz asked.
"Awesome!" I said, while smiling.

"That's great to hear!" Mrs. Diaz said.

Marco's POV
"I'm going to get ready for bed now." Star said, as she went upstairs.
I sat down with both of my parents.
"So, how'd it go?" My dad asked.
I just gave them a big thumbs up.

"Yay! Our little boy is growing up." My mom said, while hugging me.

"Well, I'm going to go to bed too." I told them.
"Okay, sleep well." They told me.

I went upstairs and went to Star's room.
I opened her door and saw her in bed, reading a the book "How to be the Perfect Queen"

I went up to her and said, "Am I disturbing you?"
She put her book down and said, "Nah, you're fine. I'm just reading this book so it'll make me fall asleep. It's pretty boring to read."
I laughed at that.

"So, what do you want to do tomorrow?" Star asked me.
"I have tons of things planned." I told her.
"Great!"

"Well, I'm off to bed. Goodnight your majesty." I said, while bowing down.
She chuckled.
"Not yet."
I gave her a friendly smile to her then I closed the door.

I crawled into bed, taking my earphones with me.
I decided to play some music so I can calm down and sleep.
I put them in my ears and started playing my playlist and put my head down on the pillow.

After a while, one song in particular made me smile.

"Baby I'm not moving on I love you long after you're gone.."
