Preston Goodplay never was one for patience - that much you were certain of the moment you'd first met him. He was meticulous about things and straightforward especially when it came to the theatre and his plays; it was either to be done his way and how his plan envisioned it or something would more than likely end up going very, very wrong, which sadly happened far more times than anyone cared to admit (or really bothered to keep track of for that matter).

You admired him for this; you never quite knew how he had the drive to keep things precise and functioning, taking his imagination and putting his heart and soul into every theatrical piece he ever made. Being signed up for theatre camp yourself you quickly found Preston becoming a role model of sorts to you - with him around you strived to do more, you wanted to BE more and show everyone that you had just as much drive and surety to be damn good at what you did, be it acting, working behind the scenes or even working with Preston to help tweak and perfect his most latest creation.

Too bad no-one else at the camp seemed to be on board with that idea.

"Heads up!" You squealed and ducked down at the sound of Nikki's voice, feeling something just barely brushing past your head before shooting backstage and out of sight; you didn't have the chance to catch what it was but whatever the eccentric wild-child had thrown caused some serious damage backstage if the chorus of yells, crashes, things breaking and a grunt of pain echoed from beyond the curtain. The only thing that mildly reassured you that no-one was badly hurt was Space Kid's voice yelling "I'm okay!" from the direction the object had been flung and you sighed turning around to Nikki who merely offered an apologetic grin in response.

"Sorry! I was aiming for Neil, hehe" You heard Neil yell in offense at her words, just as unamused by this as you were but he wasn't exactly helping in the matter either as he tinkered away at what you assumed (or hoped) was one of the costumes for the play; however you didn't necessarily have time to confirm it before your attention was pulled away yet again by some other mishap on stage.

Your fellow campers were never as enthusiastic about performing as you were and you couldn't really blame them - after all pretty much all of them never signed up for it or agreed to do it in the first place - but there was a fine line between not being bothered and purposefully screwing around, and by this point you were pretty sure it had far surpassed that boundary by now. Everything was chaos, what had started out as a simple rehearsal where some of the campers were at least trying to take part in their roles had quickly descended into yelling, throwing and overall madness that you honestly should have expected to have happened when everyone was stuck in the same area in the first place. You'd tried so hard to keep playing your part even as things quite literally broke apart at the seams, but even you were cracking under the pressure of whatever was going on, finding yourself trying to stop people from getting into trouble far more often that you were actually able to practice your lines.

You weren't the only person trying to curb the chaos though as Preston was trying to sort things out backstage, and while you hoped he was at least having a better time keeping things in relative peace you knew that wasn't the case as you heard him yelling out from behind the curtain, the force and anger in his voice alone making you flinch as you heard something smash from backstage which definitely wasn't meant to be broken. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
