"Niall, I have to leave. I will keep in touch. I promise," I said as I pulled him in for a hug.
"Gray, you don't have to go. Why are you leaving? Did I-" he started to say and I cut him off.
"You didn't do anything. It's not you or anyone for that matter. It's not for long. I'm just going away for a month." I told him. I didn't realize it would be so much longer. Neither of us did.
I step into the mall, a smile on my face. It's gonna be a good day. I make my way over to the shoe department. I pick out these wonderful regular black four inch heels. I pay for them and walk out of the store. I see a crowd and hear a lot of screaming. Being the curious person I am, I walk over and check it out. I make my way to the front and see five boys sitting at a table signing stuff. One has dark hair and sweet brown eyes. He looks like a normal guy. Pretty adorable actually. The next is unbelievably beautiful. His dark brown hair is perfect, not a single hair out of place. His hazel eyes, striking. The next is exactly the opposite. His hair is brown, but it sticks out in all directions. His eyes are a beautiful greenish blue. The next has curly brown hair, green eyes, and the best smile anyone could even imagine! Then I notice the next boy. Blonde hair. Blue eyes. I know that boy! That's Niall! I get in line an wait to meet the boys. And see the one I had left.
After about two hours, I finally get to see Niall.
"Hi Sweetie. What's your name?" He asks tiredly, not looking up.
"I think you know my name, Ni," I say smiling widely.
He looks up, and his jaw drops. He stands up and walk around the table. He just stands there, staring at me as if wondering if I am really there. Then he wraps his arms around me and hugs me so tight I think I'm going to die.
"Gray. I... Oh my god!" He stutters before hugging me again.
"Hey Niall! How've ya been? Haven't seen you in forever!"
"It's been two years, three months, and twenty one days," he tells me and shyly looks away.
"I'm sorry Niall. You wanna go somewhere? Talk? I got a house. We could hang out there. I guess..."
"Sounds good!" He says.
I give him the address and tell him I'm going home to clean. I hug him again and walk to my car. I cry the whole way home. I think about the last thing I said to him before today. I told him he need to let me go. And that I would be back. I regret not coming back sooner. Before he was famous.
There's a hard knock at my door. I open it up and see a nervous Niall James Horan standing on my front step. I tech forward, grab his hand and pull him inside. I wrap my arms around him as he kisses the op of my head.
"Grace?" He asks.
"Yeah Ni?"
"Is it okay if I love you?"
"Ummmm, yeah," I reply hesitantly.
"Well, I love you Gray. So much."
"I love you too. I'm sorry I left."
"It's okay. If you hadn't, this probably wouldn't have happened."
"That's true," I say and change the subject. "Hey, you wanna watch Monsters Inc.?"
"Sure!"
We sit down on the couch and watch five minute of the movie enforce falling asleep in each other's arms.
