No POV
All of me knew he wouldn't though, I had encountered the devil - I had encountered him in a lover. I was well and truly dancing with him, intertwining our fucked up thoughts to create something explosive.
She was right. Every word she had directed to the monster of a man was true. He had kept her shackled for way too long, his restraints were starting to wear away now and were loose enough to let her stray. He had to tie her down another way but the secrets he held would not allow him. All of his problems lead back to his brother. The brother that had never been made aware of his existence; the one that he had been forced to hide himself from because he knew none of them could handle the truth. Everything would come out soon and he knew it, he dreaded the day he would reveal his true blood. He stood up, wiped his eyes and re-masked his fear with intimidation as he fixed his hair and brushed his shirt down. He punched the rough brick wall behind him and let out a load grunt. He watched the blood pour from his knuckle finally forcing himself to not feel anything. He threw open the door in the alley way, marching his way back inside the club.Cynthia's POV
My heart continued to race. I had finally stood up to him, all of the fear I felt around him completely disintegrated. My makeup was smudged down my face and my hair tangled. I sat against a tree somewhere in the middle of the woods, my knees to my chest and my arms wrapped around them. I was coming down from my high and was now starting to shake as the cold air slithered it's way around my skin. The tears were still streaming down my face, I couldn't bare the thought of what would happen next between me and Jackson. All of me was hoping he'd show his true colours, his gentle, vulnerable side and explain to me what had gone so wrong in his past that had forced him to act this way. All of me knew he wouldn't though, I had encountered the devil - I had encountered him in a lover. I was well and truly dancing with him, intertwining our fucked up thoughts to create something explosive. I heard footsteps crunching the leaves, they sounded as if they were coming toward me. Startled, I darted upright, slowly standing up. I gasped and started breaking heavily when I felt a hand surface itself on my shoulder. I stood up as if to run away when my face was met with Jason. I wrapped my arms around him and started sobbing, he ran his hand through my hair, hugging me back and comforting me. I pulled my face from his chest slowly calming down again. "How did you find me?", I asked him. He hesitated. "I saw you, down the alley way with some guy and I...", he stopped talking and moved on saying, "Things really got out of control. Are you ok?... shit that was a stupid question. What the fuck happened? Who was that guy?". 'Are you ok?' was a question no one ever seemed to ask me so those words meant more to me than he thought. "You can't know. Trust me I want to tell you more than anything but I.. I just can't ok. That part of my life I've never shared with anybody and god knows what might happen if I reveal it.".Jason's POV
I knew she couldn't tell me but I didn't understand why. I was going to protect her no matter what so I don't know why she was afraid to tell me. I know I'm being selfish but I just wanted her to feel like she could trust me. "I understand. But you know if you need someone to turn to I promise I'll be there. I'll always be there, I'm not going anywhere.", I expressed my genuine feelings to her. I just wish she could do the same to me instead of making me read her all the time. An hour had passed and we stayed talking; I'd leant her my hoodie because she was freezing. I helped her up and walked her home. We exchanged goodbyes before I turned and headed back home.I was approaching my house when I noticed something really strange. There was a red Audi parked outside our drive and the living room light was glaring through the window. I opened the front door as quietly as I could. I stayed there listening for a second before I heard a female voice. It wasn't Kate. It sounded familiar but was a bit higher pitched than Kate's. I looked up to the stairwell to see my brother sat there. "Jheez!", I jumped in surprise. "Harvey what are you doing there and who's in the living room?", I questioned him. "Someone's here for you, a woman. I don't know who she is but I heard her talking to dad about you.", he said back to me in a subtle tone. In confusion I asked, "At 4am?! What did she look like? And where's Kate?". "She looked a little like you but I think I was just tired when I saw her so I don't really know. Kate's in there,", he told me pointing to the living room. Without saying a word I marched down the hallway and into the living room.
"Dad what the fuck is going on?", I exclaimed as soon as I walked in. The woman had her back to me. Kate and Dad sat on the couch opposite her. "Son, I don't know why she's here believe me but-", my dad was interrupted when the woman turned around. My heart dropped, I instantly knew who it was. "Hello Jason".
