"Are you excited?" Kevin asked a shirtless Betty as I plopped myself onto her bed next to him.
"More like nervous, she wouldn't shut up about how something might go wrong with Archie." I scoffed, laying down on my elbows.
"Both. I haven't seen him all summer." Betty turned to us after fixing her hair with a big smile.
"Which is why nerves are acceptable, but we agreed Betty. It's time." Kevin smiled at Betty moving his hands.
"Okay, what's the deal with this Archie boy?" I asked sitting up and crossing my legs.
"You should have moved here last year Macy, he's a cutie." Betty said scrunching her nose happily, moving her shoulders slightly making me smile at the happy girl.
"Anyways, it's time. You like him. He likes you." Kevin said with an excited tone.
"Come on Goldy locks who wouldn't want you?" I said trying my best to boost up Betty's confidence.
"Then why, Kevin and Macy, hasn't he ever said or done anything?" Betty pointed her make up brush to Kevin and I.
"Because boys are stupid." I said quickly letting out a small scoff.
"Because Archie's swell," Kevin sent me a playful glare. "But like most millennial straight guys, he needs to be told what he wants. So tell him, finally." Kevin added standing up and looking out the window as Betty looked back into her mirror.
"Oh, my God!" Kevin rose his voice making me rush to the window hoping one of the neighbors were fighting. Who doesn't like nieghbor drama?
"Who the hell is that?" I asked with the same expression as Kevin.
"What?" Betty stood up looking at us with furrowed brows.
"Archie got hot!" Kevin said still surprised.
"That's Archie?" I asked opening my mouth slightly at the shirtless boy.
"He's got abs now! Six more reasons to take that ginger bull by the horns tonight!" Kevin said still shocked as I moved out the way to let Betty have a look at our hot neighbor. I busted out laughing at Kevin's comment and sitting on Betty's bed.
...
I groaned getting another chocolate shake waiting for Betty and Archie's 'date' to end. I sat all the way at the back trying to listen to their conversation but I was too far.
A girl walked into the dinner asking for two burgers and started talking to Archie making me furrow my eyebrows. Archie and the girl shook hands and laughed. Betty and I made eye contact and I widened my eyes to her questioningly, she shrugged frowning a bit until the girl turned to her.
After the girl left, Archie left and now it was just Betty, Pop Tate, and I in the dinner. Both Betty and I stood up and walked towards each other before saying goodnight to Pop Tate.
