If you do not know how to write in third person, try to follow the example below, or follow along with what the older roleplayers are doing. A good rule to remember is to not use I when referring to yourself.

I run to the stairs and look up.
INSTEAD WRITE: [character’s name] ran to the stairs and looked up.
I jumped back in fright when I saw the spider.
INSTEAD WRITE: [character’s name] jumped back in fright when he/she saw the spider.
