Until you are a full member who has finished initiation, you are not to leave your faction.
Note:
As Tris was chastised when she went to visit Caleb, you also will be (worse than reprimands depend on your faction leader).
Exception:
If your faction leader allows/orders you to. You may also leave if you choose to be factionless.
Below are exaggerated examples of what NOT to do:
The new initiate missed her family and so decided to hop on the nearest train and visit them.
*Even if you do miss them, remember: Faction before blood. You are a new initiate and have to show your loyalty to your chosen faction.
