Betty's POV
I moved in with Jughead after the accident. I just figured he could use the help. I also think that we have a real future together so we'll end up living together anyway.
Andrews Construction installed a ramp in front of his house so that he can get in and out.
He's handling it really well. A lot better than me. I think he's scared, but he at least puts on a brace face.
Physical therapy is going well. He still can't walk - not even with the rails - but the doctors said he's getting a lot better and if he stays on this track, he should have a full recovery.
"Betty!" he yells from the bedroom.
"What?" I yell back.
"I need your help!" he responds.
He lives in a one floor house, so stairs inside aren't a problem.
I walk to the bedroom.
"I need to get out of bed" he says with a smile.
The doctors gave us a machine type thing that lowers him down into his wheelchair, but he still needs help with it.
I set the machine up and he makes it down to the wheelchair.
"Thanks" he says, grinning.
"Do you want breakfast?" I ask.
"Yes please I'm starving!" he says, melodramatically.
"Eggs?" I ask.
"Sounds great" he responds.
I walk to the kitchen and he wheels to the bathroom.
"You know, sitting down all the time really sucks" he yells.
"Oh I bet" I respond.
Suddenly I hear the words "car crash" and "identified" on the news. I turn around and turn the volume up.
"...the victim left dead from the car crash involving Jughead Jones has officially been identified as Jack Wilson..." my stomach drops.
No, no, no, no, no.
It can't be my ex fiancé.
Then they show a picture. Of Jack Wilson. The Jack I was engaged to. Suddenly I feel very light headed. I sit down on a chair.
"Betty? What's wrong?" Jughead asks, entering the room.
I'm at a loss for words. All I can do is point at the TV screen.
"Oh my god" Jughead mumbles.
Then everything goes black.

Archie's POV
I wake up to the ringing of my phone on my bedside table.
"Yeah?" I say after hitting answer.
Jughead starts talking fast. All he tells me is that Betty passed out and they're at the hospital.
"Alright, we're on our way" I tell him.
I roll over in bed.
"Veronica! Ronnie! Wake up!" I say, shaking her.
"Ugh why" she whines.
"We need to go to the hospital" I tell her.
She bolts up.
"What? Why?" she asks, panicked.
"I'll tell you in the car. We gotta go!" I say.
We both get out of bed, change into nicer clothes, brush our teeth, and practically run out the door into the car.
"So are you gonna tell me why we're going to the hospital?" Veronica asks.
"Jughead called me this morning. Betty passed out and an ambulance came to take her to the hospital" I tell her.
"Oh my god! Why did she pass out?" she asks.
"Jughead didn't tell me that" I answer.
The rest of the drive is silent. When we finally get to the hospital we both rush out of the car and go to the nearest desk we see.
"I'm looking for Betty Cooper" I say.
"Are you family?" she asks.
"No we're friends. Can we go see her?" Veronica responds.
"Sorry, only family right now. But she's in room 27, if you want to wait outside of it. Walk straight from here, take a right, and walk down the hallway. You should see it" she tells us.
"Okay, thank you" I say.
We start walking down the hallway silently.
"Alright. Here's room 27" Veronica says. "Let's sit over here"
I follow her to a row of chairs up against the wall. After a few minutes, Jughead wheels down the hallway.
"Jughead!" Veronica says, running over to him.
"Shhhh!" he says, and starts wheeling to where Archie and I were sitting.
"Where were you?" I ask.
"Trying to find a vending machine. I've been here-"
"So what happened? Is she going to be okay?" Veronica cuts him off.
"She'll be okay. When she fainted they think she hit her head. Not too hard, maybe a mild concussion" he tells us.
"Not a good few weeks for Bughead" Veronica mumbles.
Jughead and I both shoot her dirty looks.
"What caused her to faint?" I ask.
"They think it was just because of a panic attack" he responds.
"Well why was she having a panic attack?" Veronica asks.
"She was watching the news and they identified who it was that was in the van. It was Jack...and he's dead" he tells us.
"As in, her fiancé Jack?" I clarify.
Jughead nods his head.
"And you're completely sure that it was the black van?" I ask.
"I saw a picture of it on the news a few days ago, Arch. It was the black van" Veronica tells him.
"So that means..." I start.
"...that it was Jack in the van all along" Jughead finishes.
"Okay, but that doesn't make sense. The guy came after Betty. She would've recognized him" Veronica says.
"Not necessarily. He could've been wearing a ski mask or something" I suggest.
"But why would he do that?" Jughead asks.
"Who knows" I say. "But at least it's over. Our girls are safe"
