I just started work. Jeffrey seem distracted. I know only one side of the story of him and Stacy. I wanted to ask him about the situation but I didn't know what good timing it was. So I waited till after work.

I let Stacy know that I was gonna be a little late. I didn't tell her I was gonna talk with Jeffrey about her.

Jeffrey was inside his car. He looked sad and worried looking at his phone. I walked to the driver set and knocked on the window. He looked up and rolled down the window.

"Hey, Melanie. What going on?" He asked. "I was gonna say the same thing to you, Jeff." I said. "You know now, huh?" He asked. Him and I know what we were talking about. "I love Stacy, Melanie. I been trying to call her to explain that I didn't kiss her, she kissed me. I'm still trying to divorce my wife." He explained. "Well I think it's none of my business but the other thing is Stacy will be at my grandma's birthday get together and I don't want drama. Like you coming with your wife." I told him. "She never wanted to go. Trust me Melanie, she is a bitch in disguise." He said.
I only met his wife once. That was at my mother's funeral.
Jeffrey begged me to have Stacy call him back and I said I'll try. I told him how much he hurt her and he felt lime a Ass for it.

I got home and Stacy was on her way out. I pulled her to the side to talk to her about Jeffrey.
"Stacy, I think you should talk to Jeffrey." I told her. "I didn't think I'm in the mood for him." She said. "Just give him 5 minutes and see where it leads too." I told her. "I'll think about it." She said.
We said our goodbyes and I went inside to see how my grandma was doing. She was eating a sandwich with some milk. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and sat next to her.

"Hi sweetie, how was work?" She asked
"The same." I said.
"How is Jeffrey doing these days?" She asked not knowing about the drama he is going through. I didn't want my grandma to worry so I made it seem like he was ok. "He is doing good. Just working." I said.
"Stacy told me she saw James here on Sunday." She said. I actually forgot to mention that to her. "Oh yeah...uh He just came to say hello to me." I said. "Oh good. I'm happy you two are being friends." She said. I felt a little awkward because I knew exactly what happen when I was alone with him....we almost had sex....

Soon I helped my grandma to bed. She went fast to sleep. I have already took a shower and got into my pajamas. I went into bed and wanted to say good night to James. I haven't spoken to him all day.

Me: Goodnight James.

James: ....Melanie.

Me: what's wrong James?

James: does he like you?

I was confused. I didn't know what he mean by that.

Me: what?

James: Your boss. Does he like you?

Me: No what are you talking about?

James: I was wanting to see you after work. To surprise you again. But I saw you talking to your boss by his car.

Me: Yes I was talking to him but it's not what you think.

James: How about I'll just back off and leave you guys alone.

Me: James it's not that. Let me explain.

James: I'm not your boyfriend I shouldn't even be like this...

Me: Let me explain...

James: Ok I'm listening.

Me: Remember Sunday when um....you know....that happen?

James: Yes?

Me: and Stacy came over crying..

James: Yes.

Me: Well it was because of Jeffrey. They been together for 4 months. And she was crying because she caught him kissing his soon to be Ex-wife.

James: Oh and what did you tell Jeffrey?

Me: I was telling him I didn't want any drama at my grandma's birthday get together and because Stacy is going to be there. He shouldn't bring his wife. And he told me his wife is a bitch or something.

James: Oh wow. That's a lot to text and read about.

James: I apologize Melanie. I guess I was just being jealous.

Me: Its ok James. You didn't know...

James: I'll let you go now. Goodnight Melanie.

Me: Wait James.

James: Yes?

Me: I do want to see you again.

James: I can meet you after work and take you home. :-)

Me: Ok James:-)

James: Goodnight Missy Melanie.

Me: Goodnight James.
