We arrived at the hospital and head to met my grandma in her room. When we got to her room, it was empty... I was confused and so was James. I was about to panic and shaking. James tells me "Listen, calm down, I'm gonna look for someone. Stay here." His hands were on my shoulders and I'm pretty sure he felt me shaking in fear.

He went out the room to look for someone. I was standing looking at her bed. It was made and everything else was clean. Just when I was about to cry, James came back in and said "They just moved her to another room" he said with a heavy inhaling and exhaling. I felt relief knowing she was still alive.

James and I went to the room she was moved to. It was down the hall. When we got there in the room, Stacy and Jeffrey were there with balloons and flowers. It was actually the first time I seen Jeff and Stacy together. My grandma was sitting up on her bed. The room was much more comfortable than the first one.

"Hi Melanie and James." Said Stacy, "Hi guys, good morning." I said. We all greeted each other including my grandma.

"Grandma, I was worried, I didn't know they moved you." I explain to her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. "Oh sweetie, it was just too cold in that room." She said. "James brought you here?" She asked, "Yeah, he didn't mind." I said. "It wasn't much trouble.  She was in good good behavior. Miss. Villerreal." He said and pet the top of my head like I was some kind of pet or little child.

My grandma chuckled a little. Stacy wanted to get a few snacks from the vending machine and I join with her. James and Jeffrey stayed behind with my grandma.

Stacy and I walked out the room to down the hall. I asked her how was she and Jeffrey, "So, you and Jeff. Are you guys doing ok, now?" I asked, "Yeah...we're fine." She said. It wasn't a for sure answer. "Are you sure? Because it doesn't sound like you are ok." I said. She breathes out a heavy sigh and that's when I knew something may be wrong.

"Me and Jeffrey, are together....its just his soon to be Ex-wife is crazy...she always trying to call him and she recently found out about me....and that didn't work out." She explained. "What you mean?" I asked, we have arrived to the vending machines and started to put money into the machine while she explain that part to me.

"Well she tried to fight me the other day. While Jeffrey and I were out on a date. She caused so much drama. Calling me a 'whore' when she was the one doing all the whoring in the marriage." She explained, "Jeffrey was pushing her away from me and was telling her to leave us alone. And she keep saying out loud 'You know he will come back to me, he just using you for the fucking.' And it was so embarrassing. We were at a restaurant bar called 'Phil's Place' and everyone was looking at us and the owner said for us all 3 to leave. She ran out and as me and Jeff were heading out, it looked like she had a ride from someone and the car drove off once when she got inside." She explained.

"Wow, that's way too much for me to handle." I said. "Well, I'll handle what I can." She said ,"Anyways, that was nice that James brought you here." She said with a wink at the end. From that I remember the sex we had and I didn't really want to open up to that. So I just told her "Yeah he didn't have a problem about it." I said, "What about last night?....i know you were alone....but were you?" She asked. I almost turned red and sweated a little bit, I didn't want to spit it out like that. James is just friends with me. "Well I thought it would be ok to have James sleep in living room. I just didn't want to be alone that night. After what I went through. So he agreed to stay the night....in the pic I g room" I said.

I believe Stacy knew I was hiding something because she made a face like 'really? You gotta lie.' Face. We gotten some chips and sodas for us and James and Jeffrey. As we walked back Stacy was still poking me about last night. "So you let him come inside the house because you didn't want to be alone, I understand the lonely part. But...." She said without finishing the sentence. "But...but what?" I said. We were outside the door and we lowered our voice to finish the conversation "....you really didn't do anything with him?..." She asked, "...nothing happened..." I said repeating myself "....i seen the way he looks at you. The same look Jeff gives me." She said "James is like half my age why would I want to do anything with him and plus he just my friend." I said, "I thought he was a, an I quote 'douchebag looking creep'." She said, "Well you got to know someone before judging." I said. "So you got to know him....you didn't get to know 'know' him?" She said while putting her fingers up to make quotation marks. "No Stacy. Please let's just drop it." I said.
"Ok I'll drop it." She said. Right before opening the door she fast talked saying "Buy better make-up, because that mark on your neck isn't fooling anyone."

I touched my neck in a shock and she open the door right away. We saw my grandma sewing something. They must have some sewing kit here. James was on the phone talking to some and Jeff was right next to my grandma in a chair watching TV.

"We got some snacks guys." Stacy said holding up the chips and I was hold up the sodas. James puts a thumbs up with one hand. "The nurse will bring me food soon. Don't worry darlings." Said grandma. "Ok, Here you go Jeffrey." Said Stacy handing him a bag of chips and I handed him a soda. I put as side a soda and chips for James. He was still on the phone with someone. I assumed it was work. After we all sat down, we got comfortable, James get off the phone and said "bad news I got to get to work." He said. "But I can still pick you up before the visitation hours end." He said, "ok, sure." I said.

James shook hands with Jeffrey and Stacy and he gently shook hands with my grandma and wished her to get better. When he got to me he shook my hand gently as well to say "bye and see you soon." He eye gazed into mine I said "bye." Back. He walked out and the I looked over to Stacy and she gave me a 'aww' look. I rolled my eyes and looked to the tv. My phone went off from a text.

It was James sending me text saying
"I can't wait to see your pretty face again, princess."
