Quack. Quack. Quack.

I hate that alarm!! Why did I ever set the ringer to duck sounds...

I look at the time. 4:30 am. I have 30 minutes to take a shower and dress up.

Surprisingly, I'm in a better mood. I figured I shouldn't really be worrying about college today. It will just ruin this great vacation for me.

I already prepared what I'll be wearing today last night. A black vintage shirt, a loose black cardigan, ripped jeans, and a pair of black hi tops.

I look at the mirror to see what I look like. Not bad, I thought.

4:56 am

Woah, I only took 26 minutes to take a shower and dress up? I usually take 30 minutes just to take a shower and even longer than 30 minutes to dress up. I guess I'm that excited.

Since we're not leaving yet, I decided to send Caitlin a video on snapchat.

"Hey Cait! As you can see, I'm about to leave. I'm so excited but I'm gonna miss you so much! I love you! Have fun without me. And I'm not saying that sarcastically!!! Byeee!"

"Stacey, are you ready? We have to go!" My mom suddenly busts in my door.

"Ready as I'll ever be!"

Flight UA421 from Las Vegas, Nevada arriving in 30 minutes. Flight WN4284 to San Francisco, California, boarding in 15 minutes.

I look at my watch when we get to LAX. 8:23 am March 3, 2014. Oops, I forgot to fix the time. It's still set on Philippine time so I look around to find a clock instead. 5:23 pm March 2, 2014.

We take a cab to the hotel we're staying in for a few days. My mom said we'll have to stay there until my aunt and uncle picks us up when they get back from the London. We're staying in their house for the rest of our time here.

We didn't really plan anything for our stay in the hotel. My parents wanted to do all the touring with our relatives. I hope my parents let me explore the places near the hotel, at least.

I check the places where we can eat while on the way to the hotel. I was pretty bummed cause most of the ones near the hotel, we have it in the Philippines. I even saw Jollibee, a fast food chain from the Philippines. Food is one of the main things that I look forward to while in the US. I just love tasting different flavors that reflect the history and culture of different countries. And besides, who doesn't love food?

After eating dinner at a Japanese restaurant, we got back in the hotel.

I get to sleep on a bed again, finally. It's only 1 pm in the Philippines, according to my watch. I shouldn't be sleepy, but I am. I think it's because I only got to take short naps during the flight. I'm hoping it's a good thing and I don't get jet-lag.
